Does office xp sp2 contain sp1? Or do I need to get that one first?

Okay, I wasn't able to install the file listed in the first post of this thread as "OFFICE XP ENGLISH" but I don't remember the reason the software said that it couldn't update.
Since I downloaded both, I ran the "ADMIN INSTALL" which extracted two files to my desktop where I told it to. I ran the first file, "MAINSP2ff.msp" which updated well. It took a minute or so, but updated successfully. The second file, "Owc10SP2ff.msp" didn't run and gave me some annoyingly long and irritatingly confusing error message. So I ran the first file again, the "OFFICE XP ENGLISH" and it told me that the patch couldn't be applied because another program had already applied the patch.
So looks like if you have trouble, just try the first .msp that comes with the "ADMIN INSTALL" file.

If you have a corporate version of Office XP, you cannot use any of the downloadable service packs for a standard install.
You need to create an Administrative Install Point, which basically means copy the OfficeXP CD to your hard drive, update the installation files and the reinstall your OfficeXP from that.
Could you be a little more specific Andy? So do you mean make a slipstream copy with SP2 intergrated and then do an install? If you have a corporate version of office XP, you cannot use any of the downloadable service packs for a standard install.
