OFFICAL Soda/POP Poll

Don't forget to add the option for those that refer to all carbonated beverages (coke, diet, pepsi, etc) as Coke or Pepsi.
 
the majority of the time i say soda.. i say pop when i feel the people wont understand what i mean if i say soda or if im in a lazy mood.
 
Soda, even though I'm from the midwest. My mom is from New York, though, so I guess that's where I got the term "soda" from because the area where I used to live is definitely in the "pop" region, even though I don't really remember a lot of people calling it pop when I lived there.
 
i grew up in washington state -> pop

in the navy, i was around people from all over, including the South -> soda

then some hard core guy from alabama got me saying coke

what kind of coke do you want? orange? root beer? coke ? pepsi?
 
it's pop, soda is just fizzy water added to liqour. Sounds weird to hear a can of pop called soda

i call everything coke in my head, but i'm from texas. living in nyc has forced me to ask for it as soda.
