I'm at the very end of LO now and I have loved every minute of it. I would have beaten it by now but whenever I sit down to play I always end up doing side quests hehe. Those are very fun too btw. I highly recommend this game to any JRPG fan. You won't be disappointed.

man. i just got through the first disc. i have to say that this game is seriously awesome. the voice acting is SUPERB and i was really worried that it would be crap. the story is very nice as well. i had leveled my characters to around 23 when i fought that numall general in his tank, so it wasn't too bad.

BUT, after getting the slantnose, i made the mistake of going to the numall atoll and ran into a hellshaker (or whatever it's called with the 9k health). in one move he took out my entire front like and then just individually killed the back line. hahaha. i guess it's WAY too early for me to be there. all in all, a great game and like 100 times better than blue dragon.

my only gripe is having to read through kaim's dreams - feels like a cop out.

They should have incorporated the dreams directly into the visual side of the game. Even though they were written well they felt entirely disconnected from the actual in game characters.

I read the first few, but eventually moved on and skipped all of them. I've very thankful that this was allowed in the game and didnt feel cheated for skipping them.

But, it's only fair to mention that it's cool that they're there and I do appreciate what's attempting to be done. One of the short stories I had my wife sit down and read it aloud to me and it was so much more interesting because we were able to chat about it when she was done.

I think I may just go finish the game up today. I still have some treasure hunting to do and I didn't bother with the Temple of Enlightenment but I'm just getting a bit tired of the game. I did all the optional bosses as well (except of course the Temple dude).

Nice. What level are you guys? I hit the final battle with my guys at level 70. Needless to say, at that level it was pretty simple.

The ending was great, btw. 🙂

where did you go to get your guys up to level 70?

Temple of Enlightenment which you need the icebreaker ship for.

yep. just got there. getting through the beginning and having done the other side quests really help. i have absorb fire, wind, water and nullify all elements equipped on all the immortals. along with hp and mp recovery, it's pretty fun using ultimate hit with kaim or leveler with jansen on the enemies.

man. finally beat the game. got to about level 75-77 when fighting gongora at the end. needless to say, the entire last series of events went by really quickly (killed off gongora at the very end with leveler in like 2 moves).

the entire end was awesome and it was finally good to see an ending that satisfies your desire to see what happens to the characters after you beat the final boss (it's nice to see good things after fighting tons of monsters all the time; haha).

by far, the hardest boss was the immortal one in the backyard. it took me a ton of tries to beat him finally and during the course of the battle i finally understood how divide and reversa worked (i never read the spell descriptions closely; haha). i hated that bitch (with his stupid physical attacks that knock off 8k, spamming shadowus and cube). im not even sure how useful it was to get the absorb all elements bracelet anyways - i had like 25+ skill slots for all my immortals by that time anyways (30 for kaim, 29 for seth).

Cool! Yea, I look back fondly on this game and the experience I had with it. One day I'll go back and complete the game again.
