In addition to a few litres of beer in a big tent, the itinerary calls for visits to Berchtesgaden and Zell am See in Austria.

See you all next Wednesday!

UPDATE: So I have been back since last Wednesday afternoon. Here is what we ended up doing. When I say "we" I mean my best-friend-since-6th-grade (Eric) and me.

Thursday, September 20: Flew from DCA to JFK to FRA on Delta Business Elite

2) ah.. a man after my own heart... flying business class on long flights.

3) "beer in a tent costs around 8,00? or around $11.50 at the current exchange rate"

Awesome. Looks like a lot of fun. Will have to do this when I get a little older.

I have a sister in law that lives near Nuremberg, so I go to Germany quite often, last time was May 06, and I love it. Europe in general is so cool and with so much to see and visit and eat.

Great pictures, what camera do you have?

Beer is sold by the Liter of there. Thus it would be like 4? a pint.

I think that there should be an ATOT table in 2010 considering all the interest this thread has generated!

Using an EOS-20D.

Nürnberg is one of the best cities in Germany. My favorite is still Berlin. My other faves include Ulm, Weimar, and Düsseldorf. Bavaria is my favorite German state but München is not in my list of favorite German cities.

I didn't decide. I went with my best friend, and he got the BusinessElite tickets :)

Beer is normally cheaper than Coke/bottled water, but the O-Fest beer is served in liter quantities, and there is mark-up for the event.

Which makes the 33.xx oz of beer slightly less expensive then the NYC equivalent at $6 a pint.:p:beer:
