My position on this is that Biden probably looked mostly fine in early 2023 and that he probably looks a lot less fine in mid 2024. Anybody who's watched relatives age knows this is a distinct possibility.

Yes, we know how the passage of time works. But that's why it was important to take those considerations into account then. I know what is done is done, but the Democrats, as usual, love to constantly feed "Dems in Disarray" stories, much to their own detriment.

George is an active and longtime Dem proponent, and has proved time and time again he is an ally of the Dems and their policy. He hosted the 30 million dollar fundraiser recently. He has a connection to Biden. They are not besties but they have a connection. His wife is prosecuting Israel.

But the Blue Maga on social media are now just insulting him as a rich white privileged man who should shut the fuck up like that's all he is, and he knows nothing, and this is the elite trying to take over. Ignoring all he has done and his true and heartfelt support over the Dems for years. and when you tell them what he's done, they don't respond, block you, or call you a troll. A cult.

she was definitely giving the hint. She has mostly very good political instincts and she usually is not scared to go against the grain. In our political climate, if it's not 100% buy-in from congressmen and a fucking phalanx of agreement amongst talking head/media correspondence, it's 'soandsos are in disarray'. Actual conversation about topics is actively discouraged at this point and it's patently absurd.

I'd be more sympathetic to this viewpoint if D voters had not signaled their change in opinion in surveys and there being like night of stories about how demoralized regular D voters were with his debate performance. Has the press been fair to him? Absolutely not. But if he is unable to turn the news cycle off on this then that's a consideration that must be accounted for. As for the D politicians that have slowly abandoned him he essentially told them to fuck off and that he's staying in no matter the consequences to them so they are obviously going to make their own calculations for political survival.

I think these Dem Ride with Biden or Die people need to start recognizing a majority of his own party didn't want him to run again, and that many were concerned about his age, which started becoming pretty clear in 2023, before he ran again, that it was going downhill and was too much of a risk. The majority of the party has thought his age is a problem from back then and of course now, this has been constant. Biden has never polled well in the last year and change. This is not about one debate. That is just pure cognitive dissonance. We all now the media playing field is unfair to Dems, just like the EC is and the Senate and House structure, etc..

At this point, the one thing the media got right, is Biden's age was a problem. It's not like they just pulled that out of thin air, it's been pretty consistent just by seeing Biden and what events he did from before he ran until now. And I never needed the news to tell me, I could literally see it happening with my eyes and ears. I have long railed against the NYT and their bias, and cancelled them months back. The media didn't put Biden's age/frailty in my head, my simple powers of observation did.

The fact the Biden cult insists this is just out of touch elites and a total media creation is just totally dishonest, and not in a good way.

Yes, after we got stuck with Biden, after I said that was a big mistake, I did get behind Biden. I was in it to defeat Trump and had to ride with him. I have helped to campaign for dems and Biden too. That's what my statement reflects. I was constantly berated for saying Biden was clearly not a smart choice, and clearly not the best choice, but all you quoting me there proves is that no matter how stupid I thought the Biden choice was, I got behind the guy and just tried to move forward. Thanks for showing that I did the right thing and backed up my words that I would back him after he killed any real primary.
