You got your wish and I have said for a while now I have no problem with this decision. I don't know if it's right or wrong. Not sure why you're tap dancing, if Kamala does lose you're going to look like a fucking idiot. Just saying. Hope you're right that she wins and wins big though.
Be honest, if she loses, Biden would have lost too.

DNC likely put this shit off as long as possible so there was no chance of a candidate on the left winning the primary. The DNC would much rather have another Trump presidency than see someone on the left like Bernie get elected.
Interesting.

The left flank had recently been among Biden's strongest defenders because 1) they got a lot of policy they wanted and 2) they were not going to take the blame like they did in 2016.

Bernie lost two open primaries all on his own. People really need to get over this.

No way to say that for sure. Even with all his negatives, Biden has polled better than Harris. And Harris will be susceptible to all the same attacks as Biden, except for being old. Obviously, the first thing the Reps will attack her for is failure to accomplish anything as "Border Czar", or anything else actually except to hammer on about abortion. Yea, you can always say it is Congress's fault, but Kamala seemed to do nothing. Anyway, we will see how she does. The rest of the world must be laughing hysterically at us though. One party is running an unbalanced, mentally impaired egomaniac, while the other cant even make up their mind who the candidate should be with the election less than 4 months away. What a cluster****.

Lol I wouldn’t have seen chicken little on steroids reply if I didn’t read your reply and was curious the ignored user post.

But for myself personally, if the bedwetters screwed up by dumping Biden, not huge loss for me. I’m Canadian. Won’t affect any day to day life. And since I’m on the east coast of Canada, not terribly afraid of ICBM from Russia. We may lose northern and central Canada if Putin decides to hurl nukes when his orange monkey puppet fails him.

Do you think Barack would have run if people hadn't asked him to?

It was Obama seeing his enthusiastic support that made him run, but encouragement from Reid and some others played a role too, sure. Not that it's an even comparison. Barack entered politics by choice, Michelle did so via marriage. And incidentally all that enthusiasm for his political ascendancy was uncomfortable to Michelle.

She didn't like the whole gaining political celebrity status thing.

“Part of you just wants to say, ‘Can we tame this down a little bit?’ ” she said at the time. “Does it have to be all this? This is out of hand.”

In think Biden vs Harris polls are meaningless at this point.

If you wanted a lamb bowl instead of chicken and the lamb is sold out... Does it matter now?

I'm glad I changed my vote 10 days ago to 100%, not that it wasn't apparent that the public panic made it all but inevitable. Is there a way we can see a vote tally before everyone changed their votes after the fact? I noticed that the liberal parody troll/absolutefuckingmoron posted a screenshot...is there a more official way, and...what do we win?

A few things:

1. Stop with the Biden cultist bullshit. Cultists not found. Anywhere. Standing up for an Incumbent President who can demonstrate he is alert and oriented is not cult behavior. The fucking guy is 81 years old, he is not going to be a great speaker, multiply that 100 times when it's Biden.

2. If Harris or whomever becomes the nominee loses, it is not Biden's fault. Period. He did what y'all wanted him to do.

3. If Harris or whomever becomes the nominee wins, it was because Biden stepped up and stepped aside. Give credit where credit is due.

4. Harris was on the ticket and still is, she should be the nominee. Regardless, I'll be voting for whomever is at the top of the ticket because their comatose brain-dead body is better than Trump/Vance.

5. Anyone crying about how they were going to have to vote for the Strongman dicatator-wannabe, or stay home, or binge watch Storage Wars because Biden wasn't coherent and is slightly older than Trump... put up or fuck off. When y'all get Boxcar'd by Strongman Trump, you'll be one of the few who fucking deserve it.

Polling when somebody is not actually a candidate is finicky. Basically the entire Dem party snapping into lockstep behind her after weeks of torture and depression is probably going to also impact her numbers (positively).

Consecutive ones no less.
You can believe what you want, but my opinion is that the primaries were manipulated behind the scenes (especially 2020 (edit:2024)) to get Biden the nomination. I mean, come on, in 2024 Biden was running essentially unopposed. Well, I actually like Dean Phillips, and at least now he can say "I told you so".

So, how were the primaries manipulated 'behind the scenes?' Do you think 'Biden cultists' were out there hacking voting machines?
