This would be the only way I would send it. Package in a foam package suitable for shipping perishables with dry ice.
I wouldn't touch bacon left at room temp for 6 hours let alone days.

sending a birthday package to my friend. she loves-- LOVES-- bacon. it's some kind of low carb thing. thought i'd include some-- the equivalent of baking cookies for her-- but it just seems too safe/too much of a hassle. i guess i'll just send jerky, which she also likes, but lacks the homemade touch. thanks for all the help...
