Humans aren't tasty. Most shark attacks happen where the shark thinks their something else so she's probably decently safe. What is it like 10-20 shark related deaths per year?

I was worried about the cameramen around her. Add that to touching the shark, the thing might get confused/scared and just take a bite to get you to back off. It really doesn't give a shit.

My first thought is she is being irresponsible, not just with her life but with her interest in shark preservation. What does it do to the cause if you get eaten by a shark in a highly public fashion.

People need to understand nature is not only to be loved, but respected.

Playing with fire... she's gonna get burn, or in this case, eaten sooner or later. Looks like a Darwin candidate to me.

Gopro: putting you at the front seat of death!

Actually I'm surprised at how calm and careless that shark was. There was a fish swimming right next to it's mouth and it just kept going, and did not even react to her touching it. Maybe they fed it before the video, to make sure it was not hungry. :p

They definitely might feed the sharks first, and then track and wait for them to be satiated.

Sharks are fairly predictable in many regards. They're not going to waste energy hunting when they're not hungry. If she keeps her outline from looking like a seal, and isn't leaking blood in the water, and isn't swimming like an injured animal, and approaches from behind like she was, her chances of becoming shark food are much reduced.

You know what reduces those chances even farther? Not attempting to pet a great white shark in the wild.

She can hold her breath for five minutes. I guess a joke about deep throating would be too PG-13 for this forum?

What's the point of living if you're too cowardly to enjoy life? Hell, the entire field of veterinary medicine would cease to exist if everyone shared that sentiment.

I'm just going to come out and say it.

I'd enjoy sexual intercourse with this woman.

Meh, the problem isn't when you know in advance a shark is going to be in the water with you. It's when you don't. And when there is more than one, since you can't watch your back and front at the same time. They're sorta like dogs in this respect. One dog, any dog, not a problem. More than one, now you've got a problem.

Shark has only one bad end, the one with all the teeth. Stay away from it and you'll be fine.

Diving with Great Whites in visibility like that is not dangerous. You can free dive, cageless, with all the big sharks as long as you have the visibility to keep you safe.
