Some people know they're monsters, but most forget.
So then, in the case that I questioned, had you forgotten when you said what you said? I don’t know how else to explain how you could have made it, but perhaps my reading comprehension is also bad.

The bottom line I guess for me is the burden of knowledge is like a quest to slay the dragon by making it my friend while everything I learn about myself is motivated to do the opposite.

I've answered your question, you just didn't like my answer.
Yeah, it's weird how someone who acts like a straight-shooter like yourself can't give a straight answer to a pretty simple question when spy should just accept your lame-ass hedging.

This reminds me of a dream I had a long time ago. In this dream someone was chasing me through this city at night and I was very afraid. I kept running away until I finally decided to stop and confront my pursuer. Out of nowhere, I suddenly had a knife in my hand and I stabbed him several times. Then when I looked at his face, I saw that it was my father that I had killed. I hugged him and wept on his chest...all alone in a dark alley.

I never forgot that dream. Maybe, just maybe, that dragon isn't what you think it is.

It's all so simple for you...not so much for me.

It's hard to get much simpler than 'can you name a single act any GOP member of congress has engaged in that you would hold them accountable for'.

It's a hard question because you don't want to answer it, not because the question is actually hard.

IF I could actually hold someone accountable (and I can't with my vote as they aren't in my district), I would hold McConnell accountable for his hyper-partisan "Reid-like" leadership style.

Can you think of anything you would hold them accountable for that you wouldn't also try and blame Democrats for?

Nope. Democrat shit smells just as bad as Republican shit imo...it essentially comes down to which smell one finds to be more tolerable.

Wow. That's what I suspected and just... just wow. If you can't even condemn Devin Nunes and say what he's doing is beyond anything the Democrats have done in the most recent Congress I don't know what to say.

Just wow.

So I should have picked Nunes instead of McConnell? Damn the luck! I smile at your incredulity and the light years between us.

No, as you said there was nothing any Republican had done this session that you wouldn't also try and blame Democrats for. Do you even remember what you write?

If you're trying to blame Democrats for what Nunes has done you are off the deep end.

My guess would be the monster is the one who slipped the knife into your hand.

That reminds me of a real life event I had one night as a teen, I think. I experienced a night where every time I closed my eyes to sleep a hideous wolf would rush toward my face creating a wave of terror. This wouldn't stop and happened over and over to the point where I because so exhausted by lack of sleep and fear I determined to keep my eyes closed and die from its attack. The moment that happened it ceased to appear and I went to sleep. Your story also reminded me of a dream I haven't thought about in years and years. I was in a circular prison, a round room from which there was no escape but in the center of the room was a spinning massive diamond. As it turned I could feel beams of light reflected from the facets on its surface and as the light passed through me I became stronger and stronger. I felt a certainty that the room would eventually not be able to hold me regardless of the lack of doors.

Thank you for telling me that dream. I used to keep a foot long knife under my mattress in case the monsters came and on which, incidentally, my father had carved my initials, but I'd always find it later put away in one of my drawers. Perhaps the feeling of wanting to kill ones parents is more common than we ordinarily think.

I'm not trying to blame Democrats for what Nunes has done, nor am I trying to blame Republicans for what Schiff has done. I don't see many people who don't have some blood on their hands.

lol, even now you're trying the #bothsides equivocation.

Like I said before... just wow. If you can't even bring yourself to admit that what Devin Fucking Nunes has done is beyond the pale you are just too overwhelmed by partisanship to think rationally. At least everyone can see what you wrote and judge for themselves because... holy shit.

In a sane world Devin Nunes would be in prison right now.

Haha you appear to be right.
What if realization requires acceptance of the self which would, it seems to me, require acceptance of imperfection. And if so, wouldn't the rejection of imperfection in oneself be projected out there as rejection of others including their own rejection of imperfection? And wouldn't that also imply the only proper manifestation of realization is acceptance of all things via love. It would seem to me then, that while the soul may yearn to save all sentient beings, there can be no ego need to set them free that is truly healthy.

Yup, I've heard it put that we are three things. What we think we are, what others think we are, and what we really are.
I have no answer for any of those questions...except that the answer to the third one presumes an interesting concept.
