You don't, but you really enjoy sharing your concerns with us when its men, Christians, or whites potentially being impacted in a way other than they are used to. When it comes to other religions, women, or minorities you don't seem to be as concerned.
You really should re-read what I typed. TLDR; I'm more interested in the jump to defend than I am the actual act, and THAT comparison to the right and Trump.
Here is someone no one knows shit about doing something that COULD be seen as an anti-media, and with no other info than her word, everyone is defending her. Seams exactly what the left is accusing Trump supporters of; blindly following.
I am actually excited to see what she brings to the table, I just want her held to the same standard I wish the right would hold Trump to. I can't see why you would think that's a bad thing.

It's really a non story, and comparing her to the current POTUS is just sad.
A couple excerpts:
"In tweets on Friday, she said that her community includes immigrants, victims of domestic violence and people with medical concerns. She said the two meetings were designed to help residents “feel safe discussing sensitive issues in a threatening political time.”
"Her communications director, Corbin Trent, told The Washington Post that the campaign had done at least two dozen events with the news media in attendance since the primary, as well as 30 to 40 one-on-one interviews. “We’ve been very open and accessible to the press, and will continue to be so,” he said.
Another campaign spokesman, Saikat Chakrabarti, said in an email on Friday night that the town hall meetings to which the news media were not invited were “wildly successful” in creating an inviting atmosphere to the community."
But, by all means, tell us how that's repeatedly attacking the media as "fake news" and " enemy of the people" and banning only media outlets that don't shower you with adulations.

I am not aware of a single politician in the entire rest of US history that has been criticized for holding a single event without the press. Usually they hold several dozen such events in any given year and nobody blinks an eye.
I very much agree we should hold her to the same standard as we do everyone else. It’s unfortunate that she is being held to a different, drastically higher standard because people are unwilling to call out conservatives for making transparently bad faith arguments.
Does anyone want to guess how many no-press events were held by federal GOP politicians in the last month? Serious question, I don’t know. 100? 500? My guess would be since it’s campaign season and they need donations it’s somewhere close to 500. I am excited to see several hundred threads about those from OP, as apparently having a no press event is a big deal. Any ETA on that?

Kevin Yoder keeps the press out of most of his events and strictly limits public access to them as well. I must have missed the stories on Fox News expressing their concern over these practices.
I’m sure the conservative media queue is completely filled with stories about conservative politicians having closed meetings they just haven’t gotten around to publishing them yet.
Again though, how insane is it that people write critical stories about her meeting privately with her voters but nobody cares about politicians meeting privately with people lining their pockets?
But Kevin is doing it because he loves America, unlike the scary brown socialist we should be afraid of. They were probably meetings planning for the overthrow of Murica and taking of guns.

Have you ever stopped to consider that the media's job is not to cheerlead for politicians or even achieve a 'balance' of coverage, but to report on things as they are, even if it skews heavily negative? And that you shouldn't believe the word of a habitual liar when he calls outlets "fake news" for pointing out his lies, especially not when they're quoting things he actually said? You should try this whole "critical thinking" concept where you don't accept things at face value, it works wonders.
And sorry to disappoint you, but Ocasio-Cortez isn't likely to face that kind of criticism. Even though she may fall well short of the hype, she's not a narcissistic, corrupt liar like your god Trump.
Maybe if Trump stopped saying stupid, ignorant, racist, sexist things while leading and administration that appears to be stacked topped to bottom with grifters including himself he wouldn't have 97% negative coverage. BTW please post specific stories from mainstream publications that are "fabricated". I am genuinely curious what great conspiracy you have uncovered and I am assuming you can support it with evidence.
I give it a 1% chance @brandonbull will provide real evidence of mainstream publications fabricating negative stories about Trump.
He doesn't have to do any of that. He just has to believe in Trump. He'll use his brainpower to justify that rather than ask himself why he does. It's easier that way because it just feels good in some strange & twisted way.
