I was drooling over being able to play this game when it was first announced but never had the system or the time. Now I have the system but not the time. Wonder if I'll ever get to it...

I've been playing vanilla GOTY Oblivion lately which has been great. Except CCC keeps crashing on startup so I cannot enable AA or AF in the control panel anymore.

you could run OBGE without any shader replacements and use it to set in game AF which works better then control pannel forced anyway. for AA you could run SMAA which is about the same quality as 4X MSAA.

Can anyone here comment on how good or bad this "mod/conversion" is and whether it's worth the download?

I think the Nehrim module is quite well done. Not personally an Oblivion fan at all, had to dig up my old disk to play this. Was very put out by the hype, the bland world, and the undelivered promises for the vanilla Oblivion. Only interested in Nehrim because it was a complete conversion.

The intro to Nehrim can be a little difficult to get through. It is very dark (as in visual) as well. Once past that, it is pretty cool. The world is very nicely set up, and the translation from the German pretty good. It does suffer from the overly aggressive wildlife 'feature'. I can take out goblins, trolls, and various other monsters, but heaven help me if a wolf or bear shows up. Still, I thought it was very much worth the DL. It has had a pretty consistant worldview so far, and I'd give it a thumbs up.

nude mods, or at least new character models

I've always found TES female characters to be pretty damn unattractive to I'd hit it if I was drunk if you spend a bunch of time with the character creator.

I never heard of the OBGE AF before. I do not like to use shader based AA because it gives things a strange look.

I'd rather AMD fixed my CCC.
