We live close, and she works reasonably close too.

Am I obliged to pick her up from work when ever she calls at the end of the day (usually every day)?

I have to drop what I am doing and go get her usually.

What do you guys think? Should I leave my cell turned off?

Should I be expected to drive her home & run errands 'cause I have a car and she doesn't?

I wouldnt just shut your phone off.. but maybe tell her before she goes to work or the night before that you cant pick her up that night because you are doing something else. That way you dont leave her hanging. And anyways.. If you live close whats the big deal. How long does it take you to do the round trip?

out of courtesy really. if i had a friend that needed a ride home from work and it was close to me i wouldn't mind as long as i wasn't in the middle of something really important that i couldn't put off until later. granted, i wouldn't do it every day if i wasn't getting any back ;)

Oh, maybe 10 minutes round trip. It's not the time that matters. Just wondering if it's something a gf reasonably expects from her guy, or if I'm being taken advantage of.

Son, if you have to ask. . .

you are not obligated or obliged to do ANYTHING in a relationship. You do what you feel you must do to maintain a healthy relationship.

mostly it should be about communication and not asking other people what they do.

How would she normally get home otherwise?

and no i dont think its being taken advantage of. Maybe she thinks that you dont mind doing it because youve never actually said to her that you have to drop whatever you are doing to come get her for a whole 10 minutes.

Usually walk, but it's a fair hike.
