There they go again. For the fifth time since July, the first family has set plans to board Air Force One for a frilly vacation, a 10-day return trip to exclusive Martha's Vineyard where they are expected to stay at the 28-acre oceanfront Blue Heron Farm that rents for up to $50,000 a week.

Since I agree with almost nothing he wants to do I'm glad he's spending all his time vacationing, and if anything really important comes up the Secret Service can simply follow the trail of adoring reporters to him. So as long as he doesn't pull a Sanford I'm cool with it. Plus almost all Democrats standing for election are running from him as quickly as possible, so outside of fundraisers the dude really doesn't have much to do.

And Michelle did say he was "ready to rule on day one", not "ready to serve on day one."

Please share with us the long list of Democrat candidates asking to campaign with Obama. I imagine it's hard to see much beside The Messiah's polyps from your vantage point, but in all but the most liberal districts and states in the "outside world" Democrats are running as quickly as possible from Obama, Pelosi and Reid.

Seriously, the more vacations all of D.C. takes the happier I am. No one's life, liberty or property is safe when Congress is in session, and that goes for the White House (via executive orders, signing statements, and activist agencies) and SCOTUS too.

Personally I don't care, but I do think the optics look bad. Constantly jetting around to uber expensive luxury resorts during this economy and unemployment is likely gonna strike some the wrong way. I'm thinking of independents and some Dems, Repubs aren't gonna vote for him anyway.
