More BULLSHIT! There's no definition because no one bill has "passed committee." Several proposed bills have been passed out of several committees, all of which are different, and the House has yet to pass ANY bill. I dare YOU to define the "Obama's health care plan" as it stands, today.
What I favor is revoking the insurance industry's exemption from anti-trust laws and including at least a government operated public insurance option to provide real competition for the predatory health insurance vampires. What I would really prefer is a government operated single payer extension of Medicare to all Americans.
In a nation where insurance execs are drawing megabuck salaries, bonuses and golden parachutes while millions of Americans are dying because they can't afford to get treated for common injuries and preventable and treatable illnesses, that's not "blind." It's simply humane and rational.

This OP just illustrates how clueless people are when it comes to healthcare for profit.
DUH... rates have increased EACH and EVERY year since I've been employed. And that?s a long long time with many many rate increases.
So... you really think the healthcare industry "as is, for profit", will have your best interests in mind as to cost and rates?
Or... "just maybe" they, like any other for profit company, need more $$$ for their CEO's and bonuses? I have one relative employed in the healthcare industry working for one huge company I will not mention (for her sake), she just got back from their yearly seminar, this year held in Ireland. IRELAND... for God's sake???? Take about company perks...!
I wonder how many sick kids, and women with breast cancer they had to drop to pay for their little Ireland extravaganza?
No wonder the country is so screwed, and screwed up.
People actually believe fox news and republicans that if we have no reform.... YOU will be better off in the hands of the healthcare for profit group.
I'm just waiting for these healthcare for profit companies to pass the loss they took by spending millions for anti-reform tv ads, and to pay off republican senators, like old Chuckie Grassley of iOwa.
When that cost starts reflecting in your premiums, you'll start praying for a death panel to put you out of your misery.

Or, I can blame Obama for making health care reform a top priority of his of which he's had only less than a year to cobble together a plan that is still being worked on and is being dragged down and stonewalled by a gazillion different agenda's, special interests and an opposition party that is a wholly owned subsidiary of the health insurance industry and hell-bent on keeping the status quo.
Man 'o man, now that's a really hard question to answer.

Isn't Washington Health a state sponsored "exchange" of private insurance plans with state provided subsidies? As I understand it, the state opted to increase rates rather than cut people from the program.
