I don't appreciate the others view and judgmental attitude towards RR and the obvious lack of any real knowledge or education on the subject. Calling anyone the "town drunk" is pretty ignorant given the lack of anything other than rumor type Information. It really got going I think when the cunning realized that an oligarchy would not be served at an intellectual level against the left without tying it to bigotry and fear. Now we have whole armies of right wing morons marching to various themes, the fear of immigrants stealing benefits, of a left wing assault of religion and unborn children and the one and only God who is a Christian, the notion that liberals would spend all our tax money on helping worthless people, etc etc etc. With these screaming armies of terrified brain dead cowards the 1% won the class war and democracy is dead. All that was needed was to provide the moral OK to project their internal self hate out there on a more rational, more emotionally healthy and intellectually evolved left. And by doing so we divided the country and handed Russia the means to destroy us. They really don't care who wins since we will destroy ourselves in the process.

M: I agree that we are flummoxed because, unconsciously, we want to be, but I would add that the fact that our motivations happen below the level of awareness, any blame directed at unconscious people is also unconsciously motivated. You can't rationally hold a robot or a puppet responsible for it's actions, or in the case of the cunning, that they lack moral character. They are what they are because it was how they had to be to survive childhood brutality. When they look to blame somebody else and we blame them for that, it's all the same thing. Knowing or seeing the truth does not requite an irrational emotional reaction. But you can't blame yourself if you have one.

I think the real amazement comes when you find some therapeutic methodology to feel what we really feel. The shock of the depth of the pain I would call mind blowing.
