In other news, Zero gave Gordon Brown a nice set of DVDs that included Star Wars IV but not V and VI.....and were region encoded so Brown can't even play them.

What a punk.

Get. A. Life.

Yawn. Here comes another apologist defending their hero for giving one of the most retarded gifts known to man.

You ought to take your mouth off his balls and explain how DVDs work.

Bush gave Brown a nice jacket and the lefty blogosphere was whining that it wasn't thoughful...well at least it worked.

It's hilarious to see righty hacks like yourself going to these lengths to discredit the guy. Sucks to be you for the next 4-8 years.

You were one of the 25% that still approved of Bush, now you're one of the 25% who irrationally hates Obama. You're going to have a very long 8 years, but with hard hitting criticisms like these, Obama better watch his back. lol

I'm not worried. A few patriotic Democrats like Evan Bayh are already planning an insurrection.

He's already discrediting himself, champ. Just watch Geithner will open his mouth and the market will tumble, again.

Your mind is a freaky place where expressing anything short of 100% support = insurrection. Xanax, friend.

There are more important issues than Obama using a teleprompter.
Yup. Like Rush Limbaugh.

Limbaugh is a conservative idiot attention whore and they're using him against them.
Obviously you agree with me :) Go you bi-partisanship cheerleader Obama!

It's a start. 30 years ago, the Democrats were so tired of Carter's shit they tried to get rid of him in a primary. Heck, even last year Clinton chose to hang out with the Bushes.

Heck, the Marines don't like him either. See sig.

Instead of notes, and looking down all the time to them, he can look forward, see his speech and retain eye contact with the crowd. I think it's a great idea. I am dissapointed in rock bands that use them though.

Meh, even the best public speakers rely on a notecard or two. I don't really see this as a problem for Obama.

Obviously many of you who replied didn't read the article, or what my point was trying to show. I never tried to make it about a problem with Obama.

Did anyone see Obama's talk not long ago where he had no teleprompter,... wish I could remember the day,... but he was left clueless at times it seemed.

Bush used notecards,.. he flubbed words that were him just speaking off the cusp obviously,... would he have flubbed those with a teleprompter? Not likely,...

Biden has looked like a complete idiot many times lately due to his talk,...(without a teleprompter)

It is about perceived image and that perceived image makes a difference in whether someone is elected, if they garner support from peers, if they garner support from the public and media,... at least that is my theory and I think it is valid.

Obama can talk to anyone about any issue with a teleprompter, he does it all the time. You want a carefully thought out answer, he's got one.

Watch his series of interviews with Bill O'Reilly, he slayed him.

So yeah, I thought about this thread and decided is was a failure.

Nothings changed except the public is listening to the entire speech rather than one or two line sound bites.

That's because, unlike anything the EX-Traitor In Chief ever said, Obama's speeches have actual intellectual content.

Why does it matter if the cue cards are hard copy or electronic?

I love the phrase "using <blank> as a crutch." You know what a crutch does? It helps disabled people walk. That's actually a noble piece of hardware right there when you think about it. Anyone who uses the phrase "he's using that as a crutch" in a negative way is effectively saying "I don't want the crippled to walk." That's just downright offensive!

Its nice the crutch lets him speak so eloquently about destroying our economy and our future with irresponsible spending.

Maybe, maybe not. Given that Zero has been downright rude to the leader of one of our greatest allies, it might be harder to get any deals done.

Especially on so called 'climate change', but that's probably a good thing.

I understand the use of teleprompters for speeches, but he's used them when intorducing cabinet choices, and seemingly every public apperance. Is he afraid to be seen with note cards or something?

Did my sarcasm meter just explode? :Q

Anyway, so he's not the public speaker some have believed.

But the MSM complains because the teleprompter seperates them from him. Well, boys & girls he ain't speaking you; he's speaking to the American people. If the teleprompter makes him look much better to the audience of millions, then he's smart to use it/them no matter how you in the MSM feel.
