Japan said - not accepted, bad idea. In recent wikileaks it's shown Japan called Obama visiting to apologize a "non-starter". What's most embarrassing of this failed president is he doesn't even understand why it would be a bad idea.

A heretofore secret cable dated Sept. 3, 2009, was recently released by WikiLeaks. Sent to Secretary of State Clinton, it reported Japan's Vice Foreign Minister Mitoji Yabunaka telling U.S. Ambassador John Roos that "the idea of President Obama visiting Hiroshima to apologize for the atomic bombing during World War II is a 'nonstarter.'"

Hopefully the President will apologize to Germany for bombing their cities too. Oh I'm so happy we have such a meek President!! Praise Jesus the left has found religion!

I don't see the PM of Japan coming over to apologize for Pearl Harbor or the rape of Nanking, during which Japanese soldiers systematically raped and murdered about 3x as many civilians as both atomic bombings combined.

You sir, are a fucking idiot. A million lives or more were possibly saved by the atomic bombings of Japan. It prevented a ground invasion of the Japanese islands to end the war. Invading those island would have killed many times more people.

There's a difference between being meek and apologizing for what you ought not apologize.

I had no problem with Obama bowing. I actually thought that simple gestures like that would warm relations with anyone.

No sir, you are the fucking idiot for accepting and embracing a flawed justification that has been fed to the american public (sheep like you) over the years to make people feel better about the fact that their government murdered hundreds of thousands of civilians with the most heinous weapon known to mankind.
 
Oh cool. The whole did/didn't need to drop a nuke argument has already started.

Anyway, stupid gesture. I have no idea why Obama would think that A) he needs to apologize 60+ years later and B) that they'd actually accept it. It's not like they've apologized for Pearl Harbor or even officially recognized the atrocities they committed throughout the course of the war.

Just so you know, a lot more people died in firebombs than in Hiroshima or Nagasaki.
