Considering I think the idea of a missile shield is repulsive, what-the-fuck-ever.

Since when is saving lives repulsive?

I wouldn't save lives though, it would just start shit with russia needlessly. If they wanted to hurt us, they wouldn't need fucking ICBMs. Let's not be pricks, kay? You're not one of those mindless "USA GOOD, RUSSIA BAD" nationalists, are you? I honestly don't know, I don't remember names well and you haven't pissed me off royally in the past, otherwise I would.

There's nothing needless about it. Either it will be an actual defense against ICBMs or it gives the US a bargaining chip to use against Russia to get them to stop blocking further sanctions and so forth.

Or we could just not be pricks. The only ICBMs we need to worry about are from developed nations like Russa, who we should try to get ALONG with instead of butt heads with. Nationalism for the lose.

People need to separate missile defense's very existence from the stupid requirement of placing it in Russia's backyard. I don?t want it to piss of Russia either, but the ability to stop rockets is essential to future security. The two goals are not mutually exclusive.

Welcome to the real world. Countries don't do things for each other out of the goodness of their hearts, nationalism has nothing to do with it.
