Obama lied about Benghazi

Anything to win an election.

They were trumpeting "His" killing of Osama, and that we were winning/won the war on terror...

This is going to neuter the rest of his 2nd term at minimum. He already sabotaged it on his own. This will potentially reach high up in the administration and could very possibly bring articles of impeachment.

It will kill any chance of Hillary being a candidate in 2016.
 
Shrug. This was already well known and well documented (congressional hearings and testimony).

I'm curious what info these 'whistle blowers' will have. If it's just more of the same I don't think many will care.

Actually you're wrong, because Hillary Clinton can't become president in 2016.

I'm not sure that this kills her chance to be president though, because all she has to do is lie some more and then too many people will believe it.
 
Of course he lied. Most politicians do and every president for the past 20 years has. What was somewhat unique was that while the current administration was parading out the story that bengazai was spontaneous protests as a result of a YouTube video, that the president was still given credit for specifically calling bengazai terrorism in the rose garden speech when he went out of his way to avoid specifically calling it such during and beyond that time frame.

During a time when the admin was in possession of information indicating the attacks wre planned terrorist attacks they chose instead to go with information about the video. After this there defense was that there was conflicting information, but failed to explain why they chose to omit certain information and present a partial and incorrect narrative to the American public.

Truth is we now know that bengazai wasn't a result of the video nor was it spontaneous. There was never even good reason to believe this given the information available from the earliest point in time. The video narrative was purposefully manipulated into what result was needed for the pres during the last months of an election campaign.

Impeachment for....not using the word "terrorism" enough times?

While I think that the administration's response to the whole incident was bumbling and silly, I have yet to see anything that makes me think this rises to the level of any sort of importance. Of all the things that have happened in the last ~25 years........this (edit: by "this" i mean the administration's response) is somehow important? lol
 
There has been literally nothing new, revealing or scandalous about Benghazi since the first couple weeks; what we've learned since is entirely boring and uncontroversial, especially after Clinton answered all the various House Intelligence investigator's questions publicly and privately to the point where they stopped talking about it altogether. The only reason (my emphasis here, the ONLY reason) we're still talking about this is last week Fox got some loser to spill his guts about his feelings regarding how quickly he "knew" the U.S. military could have responded, but didn't for some inexplicable reason Fox's fake informant couldn't explain himself.

But seriously, no one important cares, citizen or politician. No one that will decide elections at least.

So all the outrage is over obama citing the protests that were occuring at US embasies across the middle east and not using the word "terrorist"? Of course this had some political motivation but it was still a plausible hypothesis for what was occuring based on avaible information.
 
The only people who care about this are people who didn't or would never vote for Obama anyways...
 
The whole Benghazi thing is a real object lesson in how the extreme right lives in its own bubble. I consistently find myself marveling at how baffled extremely right wing people are when they don't see the public freaking out over Benghazi, how they can't figure out why Obama isn't impeached over it, etc, etc. As per usual, they blame a conspiracy by the media, etc.

Maybe it's not a conspiracy, maybe it's just you.
 
At least spell Benghazi right in the title. As has been shown in earlier threads those on the left don't give a rats ass that Obama and his administration lied repeatedly about Benghazi, have kept citizens from testifying and have threatened citizens with reprisals if they whistle blow. Nothing new, nothing shocking, it's business as usual in Washington DC.
