You sir need help stat!

Here is mine.

The day after Obama was elected he starts massive reform with taxes that employers are charged. A businessman is faced with the prospect of increased costs. He likes all his employees but has to let some go due to the increased employer taxes by Obama. Struggling to decide whom to fire he suddenly gets an idea. He goes out to his parking lot and looks at the cars. He then fires (lets go) the people who have Obama 2009 bumper stickers.

This is actually a somewhat true story. :/

So then he fired no one since "Obama 2009" stickers don't exist.

Then he shot himself for being a fucking dolt who can't successfully run a business and would have had to shut down eventually no matter who is in office because the brightest idea he's ever had was to fire "Obama 2009" people.

It was a typo, my bad. Although from your response I would say?. Ahh nevermind.

Supposedly, Obama's mother in law will be moving into the White House along with the first family.

In another words, the democrats just put another black family into government housing.

Now while I don't agree with this joke, I'll post it. I also hope nothing like this happens b/c I think we would have something pretty close to civil war.

What's Michelle Obama going to be for Halloween next year?

A Black Widow.

The difference between Bush jokes and Obama jokes is that Bush jokes focus on his ineptitude or his bad policies while Obama jokes are always about race. In every joke Citirix has posted you could replace "Obama" with "black president" and the effect would be exactly the same. Oh, blacks like watermelon, oh, blacks like chicken wings, oh, blacks are on welfare, etc. I'm not inherently opposed to racial humor, but when you try to pass off racist jokes as political humor because the target happens to be black, you're just a race-baiting asshole. You tell a racist joke, someone says "Hey, that's racist," and you turn around and say, "Oh, we can't make jokes about Obama now?" It's ridiculous. Go find some material that doesn't just swap out "black" for "Obama" and try again.

-EDIT- As much as I hate to say it, I'm really not offended by the racism as much as I am by the complete laziness in coming up with Obama jokes. Then again, his policies don't lend much to humor at the moment; hope and change hasn't yielded much workable material.

And the "dumb-redneck" image that was given to Bush wasnt racist?

It would have been if Bush spoke in a posh English accent and waxed eloquent in prose. He didn't. He did make up some words, which I suppose makes him a modern day Shakespeare... but more often than not, he used down home expressions, he spoke with a Southern drawl, and he spent his free time on his ranch. Add to that the fact that he was not terribly intelligent, and the dumb redneck image starts to make sense. Sure, it's a caricature, but it's a caricature that speaks to the truth of the man.

Show me one instance where Obama came out and said, "I'ma get me some fried chicken with mah n***as, knowwhatI'msayin'?" He's done nothing to deserve the stereotype of a dumb black man besides being black; hell, he's more articulate than Bush in every regard. So the jokes about him are not based around any reality except a stereotype based solely on skin color completely independent of Obama's actions. That's pure racism, and while it can be funny (in one of those guilty "I probably shouldn't laugh at that" sort of way), it is not good political humor.

Who here ever claimed to be making "good political humor"?

Obama is black, so we make black jokes.
McCain is old, so we make old man jokes.
Bush speaks like an idiot, so we make retard jokes.

Whether or not they fit the generalizations is irrelevant. It's the stereotypes that make them funny.

Obama hasn't had a chance to do anything stupid in office yet. All we've got are stereotypes. Seriously, what do you want from us?

Sure, we can comment on him nominating a Treasury Secretary who failed to pay his taxes, but those jokes are nowhere near as funny.

Edit: Also, fried chicken, watermelon, and hating white people aren't "dumb black man" stereotypes - they're just "black man" stereotypes. If anything, the premise of a sophisticated, well-spoken black guy going to town on a bucket of KFC merely adds to the humor. They're cheap laughs, but they'll do.

/I'm white
/I like KFC, too

Bahahahaha! Yea, because redneck is used to label Mexicans all the time.

Description of redneck - American Heritage® Dictionary
NOUN: Offensive Slang 1. Used as a disparaging term for a member of the white rural laboring class, especially in the southern United States.
