Obama Clinches Democratic Nomination

I'm not running for office and I don't speak for Obama's campaign. I'm also not in lockstep with the (democratic) party.

I could care less if the 50 or so nutballs on that website vote for McCain or go independent and stay home during the election. It's the fanatics that I have been mocking and they aren't going to come around regardless of what I or Obama says to them. I don't think I'll try to be the bigger person on this one: "We won. ha-ha."

Edit:

I'll start playing nice with them when they stop trying to take this whole mess to Denver.

Ding Dong! The Wicked Witch is dead.
Wake up - sleepy head, rub your eyes, get out of bed.
Wake up, the Wicked Witch is dead. She's gone where the goblins go,
Below - below - below. Yo-ho, let's open up and sing and ring the bells out.
Ding Dong' the merry-oh, sing it high, sing it low.
Let them know
The Wicked Witch is dead!

I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

Well let me be on record as mocking both categories.

And I think a lot of Barack supporters would be mad, angry and spiteful if the shoe were on the other foot.

Just as the Hillary supporters would be told-you-so-ing the Obama supporters.

If if if. Obama won, and needs Hillary supporters to vote for him. You can say Hillary supporters would be doing the same thing if they won, but the focus of Obama's message is change and a new breed of politics. Saying Obama supporters are acting no different than Hillary supporters would have acted had she won basically proves that his supporters aren't ready for his message and are just as invested in the old divisive politics as every other candidate's supporters are.

You shouldn't be mocking any Hillary supporters at this point, be they die-hard, moderate or casual, as attacks force people with similar beliefs to flock together. Attack the die-hards, you lose some of the moderates and casuals who are put off by it.

Be gracious. Be conciliatory. Be like Obama.

In other words.... Be fake.

P&N. Hate it or love it :0 When you're wrong you get the pie ground into your face and when you're right you do the grinding. I wouldn't enjoy it otherwise.

In as much as fake connotes politeness to facilitate a desired goal (like smiling at the copy room clerk to get your job back quickly when you sure as shit don't feel like smililng) then yes.

I would love to hear what you think those numbers mean. I'm sure it will be amazing.

I think it means we're in bizarro land when the winner of the democratic primary is limping towards the finish line down in the polls compared to the loser, losing several of the last primaries, and only running even with the republican candidate after 8 years of GWB.

but it's only June. I'd expect Obama to see a massive surge in the next couple weeks, though the democrats may or may not deny the surge's existence or effectiveness 😉

You realize that the loser of the same primary is running the exact same statistical dead heat despite all of that furious momentum that Hillary has, right? Most importantly, polls in early June say very little about November.

It means that when asked about Clinton-McCain, those polled are wondering about a hypothetical matchup that won't take place akin to wondering if Bruce Lee could beat Jesus in a fight.

The question they're effectively asking is "how do you feel about Democratic unity right now?" Clearly, Obama supporters are feeling a lot better about that right now than us Clinton supporters...

Ugh. That Sucks. I was really looking forward to voting for Clinton. Oh well, McCain, here I come.

Why not vote 3rd party? You seem like a reasonably intelligent person. Surely you recognize that McCain's policies and Clinton's would be completely at odds with each other...

Clinton and McCain aren't that far apart.

rofl. This shows you know absolutely zilch about politics. Clinton and Obama are far closer on policy than John McCain. Christ almighty.

Am I the only one who caught the "It's over" reference? Where is Techs anyways? Seems to be awfully quiet these days.
