Ugh. That Sucks. I was really looking forward to voting for Clinton. Oh well, McCain, here I come.

Why not vote 3rd party? You seem like a reasonably intelligent person. Surely you recognize that McCain's policies and Clinton's would be completely at odds with each other...

its not over until the convention -- primaries don't elect candidates, delegates do.

Can't we atleast pretend that it's over? I'm so sick of the whole thing :disgust:

Hillary said she is not taking it to the convention, so it is over once Obama hits the magic number.

Unfortunately, these "private" commitments have to become "public" before Hillary concedes, which will happen either tonight or tomorrow.

Yep, that's been posted in other thread. She's not going to concede until he officially passes the 'finish line'.

I don't get that attitude at all.

Why would you rather vote for someone that shares less than 1% of the beliefs of your ideal candidate instead of voting for someone that shares 99% of the beliefs your candidate does?

Quite honestly all the Hillary supporters saying they will vote for McCain is political retardation.

There are some Hillary supporters who are being sore losers right now. I wouldn't pay much attention to them, they'll be voting for Obama in November.

Clinton and McCain aren't that far apart. Plus I don't trust Obama with a Democrat Congress. Not that it matters here in CA.

Yup. Totally batshit crazy, IMO.

They might as well vote for Ron Paul. :p

You're wasting your time. There is no reasoning with this one. He's been beating that dead horse for some time. Best thing to do is give him a :cookie:.

CnP from my other thread, but I, for one, am really looking forward to the next stage of the game -- seeing if there's any truth to Obama's claim to be a uniter, not a divider, because if he can't unify his own party in the face of an opposition that shares 99% of his views, how's he going to unify a nation that does have real fundamental differences with the democratic party platform?

I hope he can pull it off.

No it isn't. Clinton is a moderate pragmatist, Obama is a liberal idealist. I don't trust Obama with a rubber stamp Democrat Congress.

I think the AP is full of it. I think he's close, but still has some work yet to do. None of the major news outlets are reporting it as anything other than what the AP thinks.

I hate to see comments like this coming from you. When I first started posting on these boards, you seemed to be a rational poster, seeking out a logical reason for supporting the things you supported. It's sad to see that disappear in a wave of, for lack of a better term, unabashed stupidity. Hillary and Obama vote the same way on nearly every issue; they are virtually identical in their core beliefs and policies. McCain differs on a great number of points, including the war, reproductive rights and various elements of budgetary spending. That you would rather vote for someone who represents the opposite of your candidate's views over someone within her party who managed to grab the nomination shows that you are completely irrational, incapable of thinking logically in the wake of your anger that your candidate will not win. It is disgusting hackery, and it is beneath you.

Bwahahahahaha!!! Care to back that statement up with proof that isn't based solely on your own opinion? If that was the case it means Obama and McCain are not that far apart. Epic fail.

I think as a homework assignment you should go to Hillary, Obama, and McCain's websites and copy down their policy proposals for when they become president. Then you should compare them and decide who you think is far apart and who isn't.

Do you realize that she has already gone public at one point and stated the exact opposite? She has already told the American people that she plans to go all the way in this race but that if she doesn't win then she asks that her supporters vote for Obama and assured them that their views and desires for the country are much closer to Obama's views and desires than that of McCain. If you support her and this is what she is telling you then why would you vote for McCain still?

I would strongly suggest you guys stop wasting your efforts on lost causes like senseamp and redirect it to other areas that would result in votes for your candidate.

It's embarrassing enough to see a child like him cry for attention. No need for all of you to flock to his side and coddle him or his vote.

If it makes you feel any better, Hillary, Bill and Chelsea will be stumping for Obama soon enough.

Anyone who is a common citizen who believes that a politician shares 99% of their beliefs is delusional. You instead just believe 99% of their bullshit.
