It won't, we'll blame Republicans again 🙂
My memory is not as good as it used to be and I'm hoping you'll remember. How many times after he raised taxes did Bush tell the nation he didn't raise taxes?I remember when Bush 1 got all that flack for the "no new taxes" bs. Heaven forbid someone be wrong or change their minds. What was he supposed to do, not change his mind about anything? Thanks for not being an intelligent being sir!
By starting down the path of forcing the young and healthy to subsidize health care. Previously they weren't putting much into the pot. This is a good start towards milking that untapped demographic.
Additionally it is taking the first tentative step squeezing the insurance companies out of the market. One we can get rid of them, cost savings will really start to kick in. Government triage of health care recipients is the ideal solution that we all are working towards.
Think of Obamacare as not the destination but tentative first step towards America's destination.
Does that help Bober?
Did you want Obama to implement direct price controls?
No, didn't you know we can fix all this just by limiting medical malpractice lawsuits?
In all seriousness I think the Democrats missed an opportunity on the lawsuit front. They should have included it in the bill as a sop to GOP and then when it did nothing to drive down costs they could have hammered the GOP with it. If it did drive down costs they would get credit for including it in the first place.
Bober really wants single payer with medical review boards determining if a visit to the doctor is warranted....(I jest)
Of course, a loony lefty jumps right to the one thing they believe is the answer to all problems: MORE GOVERNMENT
Still playing gotcha politics are we? So the President said no one would lose their old plans is they "liked" (aka cheap) them and clearly that is not the case. Big f'in deal.

By the way, anyone else like how the private health care companies haven't gotten any flack for this?
They are after all the ones raising the rates and cancelling the policies.
I have yet to se any good data explaining any of this.
@werepossum
I love when people try and defend Bush Jr. The mental gymnastics required are pretty special.
Amen. My doctor offered me a flue shot and when I asked him how much it cost, he looked at me like I'd grown a second head.Yet another post that could just as easily been replaced with "DEEEEERRRRRP!!!"
Truth in pricing is one place to start. What other industry can get away with not divulging the price of anything until after you receive service and get the bill?

It's also amusing that you think eliminating insurance companies will bring down costs, when there's little evidence of that ever being true.
Canadians strongly support the health system's public rather than for-profit private basis, and a 2009 poll by Nanos Research found 86.2% of Canadians surveyed supported or strongly supported "public solutions to make our public health care stronger."[9][10] A Strategic Counsel survey found 91% of Canadians prefer their healthcare system instead of a U.S. style system.[11][12] Plus 70% of Canadians rated their system as working either "well" or "very well".[13]
A 2009 Harris/Decima poll found 82% of Canadians preferred their healthcare system to the one in the United States, more than ten times as many as the 8% stating a preference for a US-style health care system for Canada[14] while a Strategic Counsel survey in 2008 found 91% of Canadians preferring their healthcare system to that of the U.S.[11][12]
A 2003 Gallup poll found 25% of Americans are either "very" or "somewhat" satisfied with "the availability of affordable healthcare in the nation", versus 50% of those in the UK and 57% of Canadians. Those "very dissatisfied" made up 44% of Americans, 25% of respondents of Britons, and 17% of Canadians.
So move. America doesn't want what you're pushing. Just say no to socialism and communism.
You move.... you are in the minority. More and more Americans are wanting socialized medicine. The Tea Party is a shrinking movement, the progressive movement on the other hand is growing.[/
Yea the takers....not the makers. Don't worry Uncle Sam will make everything alright. 🙄 Move to fucking Norway or Iceland; just move away and progress somewhere else in your "utopia". If it weren't for those pesky folks impeding "progress". Damn them! At least you call ACA what it is...socialist progressive.
I don't know how you expect them to pay for the new plans.
Excuse me a sec...... BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH choke snort.. cough...... BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAAHAHA!!!!!!!
CANADA and Western Europe don't exist in Bober's world.
BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!
ROFLMFAO
It is funny in some respects and tragic in others. And these are the people who are impeding our progress. Completely and utterly clueless. Jesus H Christ, it isn't like we haven't brought up the health care systems in other first world nations in every other thread.
I WANT what THEY have! I don't want a bunch of Neanderthals keeping America in the stone ages.

Don't get distracted.
This is about all politicians lying to us and there being no repercussions. That has to change. Whether its removal from office, public shaming, losing their speaking privileges. ...something has to happen to them.
This one is big because its blatant.
And if we painted oranges red, they'd be apples, right?
Single payer in the US does not mean health care magically gets cheaper.
According to typical liberal ranting on single payer it costs half as much as US healthcare. Since half of all health care costs are paid by the government currently then logically implementing it should be possible without raising a dime in new taxes, and at the same time people and businesses will no longer have to pay for health care. Seems like an awesome deal.
People losing their insurance en masse because of federal legislation is extremely new and that is obama's, fuck be upon him, fault.
People need to be reminded that it's because of Obama that they lost their insurance even after he promised they could keep their plan. Bold faced lie he repeatedly told. Don't forget that fact.
