And that has nothing to do with his awesome benefits for life package

Obama is arguing to increase revenues and includes himself in contributing.

Boehner is arguing to cut spending but not the spending that will go to him.

Are you really that dense?

Actually Obama said in his speech that his own taxes should be raised. But please, don't let facts get in the way of your demagoguery.

LOL!

So he has written a check to the IRS for all his excess money?

I would love to see the canceled check of that transaction. I will not hold my breath.

Well, the Gang of Six bipartisan plan has been the best plan put forth so far by a mile. Obama supports it, would sign it. Democrats aren't thrilled with it, but would pass it. Republicans refuse to acknowledge it because it's bipartisan, a good idea, and might help Obama get re-elected. And what was it Mitch McConnell said, the number 1 goal of the Republican party was to ensure Obama doesn't get re-elected. The republicans don't care about fixing the debt, maintaining our AAA credit rating, finding Americans jobs, or really doing ANYTHING good for the American people. The Republicans will throw every single American under the bus and destroy this nation as best they can to try to prevent Obama from getting re-elected.

Obama is willing to compromise, Boehner is not and is a worthless piece of shit just like every other elected Republican currently.

After his job is done ...no. Being President is a service to your country, and only a 4-8 year service at that, why should anyone be compensated for life for any job that last less time than most go to elementary school.

Right. So the credibility tree goes Casey Anthony, then Boehner, then Obama.

I agree with that.

Well, if we want to do accuracy, it's more like.

Your average non-politician American, then Hollywood, then Obama/Reid about the same, then petty criminals, then Casey Anthony, then Pelosi, then non-Tea Party Republicans, then serial murderers, then mobsters, then Boehner, then 3rd world despots, then the Tea Party.

If I was getting almost $200,000 a year, along with ten years of SS protection, travel, and office expenses, I'd be happy to pay some more taxes too.

The highest paid CEO in the country earned 14 million in CASH compensation last year.

He runs Viacom, a media conglomerate which had revenues of 9.9 billion last year and it lost over 800 million.

Shall we compare to what the POTUS has to manage?

Also, using your logic no Government employee should be paid. Nor for that matter any corporation that receives money from the government.

So you agree with Obama, who only wants to raise taxes on those making > $250k.

Cool.

Don't worry about the SS protection, no one cares enough about you to want to hurt you.

LOL. That's a very unfair comparison, how about those two swap jobs and then see who deserves more pay?

Dauman makes more money because he's smarter. Not because he has more responsibilities.

You do realize that every time you use this ridiculous nickname you just reinforce to the sane of us that you're an idiot, right?

I just imagine him waving his cane at the TV every time Obama comes on, and then running down to the bank to cash his government check when the commercials start.

Very rarely is being President about intelligence. It's about being able to make the tough choices. I'm 30, and I've been alive for the presidencies of Carter (tail end at least), Reagan, Bush 1, Clinton, Bush 2, Obama. Of those option Clinton was likely the smartest and Obama probably the second smartest. No, Obama probably wouldn't know how to run a media conglomerate. Bush Dauman, like most people, would probably crack under the pressures of being President. It's a job I don't think anyone should ever want to have and ages the men who do it incredibly.

Boehner is peddling more of the same medicine that brought the patient from healthy to critical condition. No, thanks.

Nurse: "Doctor we shot him in the face with a shotgun like you asked, but he seems to be getting worse!"

Doctor Boner: "Hmm, maybe we should try magnums this time."

Um, no. That's not even remotely close to what I said at all. Better luck next time.

So you agree with Obama, who only wants to raise taxes on those making > $250k.

Cool.

Once again, not even close to what I said. I don't have any problem taxing multimillionaires+, and reforming tax code so they can't skate by anymore, but lumping in people making 250K with people making a million plus is fucking retarded.

So lowering taxes even further on the >250k bracket while cutting deductions that benefit the poor and middle class sounds like a good plan to you?

I said it was the best plan, not a perfect plan. It also closed loopholes that give those making over 250k more money back from taxes.

$700B/year in cuts in the middle of jobs recession. Boehner is either out of his mind or doesn't give a shit about the American people.
