Pay attention to what he says, watch how he says it. This is his chance to say "I heard you" to the American people. There have been snippets of his whining but now you get to see it and watch his body language, nose high in the air. Or possibly, head down, like a beaten dog begging for scraps.

Pay attention to the body language and his message. Watch this president, pay attention to him.

Will he say I heard you? Or will he keep on point of "we didn't sell the agenda well enough"?

It really boggles my mind.....the healthcare policies he implemented, and cap and trade, were ALL Republican ideas like 10-20 years ago, but for some ungodly reason the GOP has taken a HARD right and now any type of spending even if it is repairing our pothole filled streets or failing bridges, it is SOCIALIST!!!!!

You keep saying reject but Republicans only got 55 percent of the house seats. Does that mean that nearly half of the country rejects the Republican agenda?
 
Guaranteeing my future children health insurance regardless of any medical condition they may be born with is a great thing as well as the other regulations he is imposing on health insurance middle men, I mean companies.

He cut my taxes with the stimulus, and I am seeing a lot of great road work improvements everywhere in my community. He is working on cutting the "waste, fraud and abuse" in Medicare as well as the DoD. The bailout is turning a profit and the American economy is recovering albeit slowly.

I don't think this DRAMATIC level of anti-Obama is warranted in the least.

My 2 cents.

You think his interview really matters as far as policy is concerned? If he does an amazing job in the interview you will be thankful and ride the Obama train? Or are you just looking for anything to pounce on and proclaim it a doomsday?

"He seemed too gloomy and down - he isn't fit to preside!"

It isn't like he can do much worse in the next two years as he did the previous two. Certainly not with a standstill in congress.

spidey is partialy right. this IS his chance to come out and say we heard you. question i have is he going to say it or blame bush or say he was not clear enough.

he NEEDS to come out and say "we heard you" and promise to take the Dems in a better direction. a direction the people want and not what he thinks is right.

If he does not then 1012 is not going to be pretty for the Dems. he is going to have to fallow Clinton in what he did.

though i do suspect he will blame bush and the media for not getting his message out and stay the course..

As a tactical move for political points, that wouldn't be his best option. To help the country, it would be.

The republicans didn't respond to the "will of the people" who voted for a huge majority in congress and for president in 08. They stood and forced things to a standstill as the country struggled to recover from a recession, all the while pointing the fingers at those in charge. It got them the political capital they needed to take the house. Of course, touting they now have a mandate will make them accountable in the eyes of those same gullible people, even though the Ds still control the senate and the WH.

If Obama responds in kind, he would likely turn voters against the republicans. At the same time, the country will struggle through the next two years.
