Oakley's aren't made for stye, that's not what you should buy them for. They're sport glasses, made for action. I have plenty of Maui Jims, that are very stylish, and have very nice lenses. But they are more fragile than Oakleys, they're generally heavier, they don't grip your head, and the lenses aren't as well suited for fast motion.

I know that if I get hit in the face by a car, my Oakleys will probably survive. And that will be my main concern.

Look at the pics if he has real pics then its a safer bet youll get a real product.

Don't ever join a csi unit. How can you determine a counterfeit by looking at a picture? Even if it were the same glasses to be sent.

The only real way to tell genuine Oakleys from the fakes are in the screws. I can't remember what Oakley uses versus what everyone else uses, but I know they use different screws. However, on Ebay, that's totally worthless. If you're buying Oakleys, be prepared to spend more and just go to a reputable store.

I had a pair my freshman year in college. They broke twice in less than a year and the lenses scratched very easily. Ray-Bans from now on for me!
my ray-bans just broke. The side hinge fell off or something. I dont have my reciept anymore, even though I bought it from a sporting goods store for over $100.

always wanted a pair and can never find them discounted anywhere and now that i've started using ebay so i figure maybe i can try there.

Make sure the seller is reputable... ie, somebody who sells mass quantities of shades. I bought my last pair of Oakley's Romeo's from ebay.
