O-i-h-o ............ D'oh

This is just a little thread and really isn't important at all.

President Obama needed a do-over to spell “Ohio” correctly on the campus of Ohio State University this week.

Although Obama and several students at a campaign stop Tuesday morning at Sloopy’s Diner on the campus of OSU tweeted out photos of the president correctly posing as the “I” in Ohio, another student supplied a photo of a spelling mishap to Mitt Romney’s campaign.

It's no big deal, not at all, it wasn't Sarah Palin or Dan Quayle or Paul Ryan. It was just Obama in a tiny whoops moment and that's all there is to it.

The Washington Post incorrectly reported the photo was doctored, but Maloney told The Hill it is authentic. He said the photo was passed along to him directly by a student. There were several photos being taken by students at the diner.

The Washington Post reporter (Rachel Weiner) that fucked up and accused the Romney campaign of photo shopping the picture has already apologized.

Do you actually think our President doesn't know how to spell "Ohio", or do you think it was just a minor goof? I think this will have about as much of an impact as the internet vocabulary police do.

I think it would be legit to compare this to some of the things said about Bush when he may certain gaffes, but Palin was a certified moron.

I think it was a very minor goof that happens to everyone in the public eye. I'm hoping to resurrect this thread when Ryan makes a minor goof of his own and the lefty/Democrats on this forum start wanking themselves off over it.

It won't help when Ryan starts trying to tell rape victims what to do if they get pregnant.

I thought there was one about the Romney app where it spelled America wrong and they already did that.

That is funny, but how did the guy next to him also do the wrong letter? Shouldn't of it been OHHO if it was just Obama messing it up? But instead you get OIHO which is OHIO backwards.

I do love these sort of things, always makes for good jokes.

That's what I was about to say. Why does the other guy have the wrong letter too? I'm thinking they were both just doing it from their perspective instead of the photographer's one.

He was probably afraid to tell the President of the United States he was messing up such an easy word.

Do we know why Ohio does not fall into Lake Erie?

Its clearly because Kentucky and West Virginia sucks. Plate tectonics hurry up, Ohio is in dire need of some slum clearance. As Ohio goes, so goes the nation. Home of such lumariares as weeping John Boehner, the current squeaker of the house.

They didn't adjust for the audiences perspective in the picture so Ohio is backward. Big deal. Likely that they were asked to turn around to take another picture and didn't adjust. Relatively slow news day I guess.

They probably just mirrored the image to make it look backwards. Still spells Ohio if you read it backwards 😛

But either way..faux news is faux

I call this sort of thing a "manufactured controversy of the day".

Reasonable, fair people come up with reasonable, fair explanations for these events, such as observing that by default, people would spell words from left to right in their own perspective, not that of a camera.

Obnoxious partisans conclude that "the President of the United States was messing up such an easy word."

Rehearsal.
