We start with this.

And end with this.

You don't see a contradiction there? Please tell me you do.

No, there's no contradiction there. He's undoubtedly a billionaire, he's wealthy. My guess is that he's not quite as wealthy as he'd have everyone think, but that's part of his grandiose ego and branding. Releasing information that shows him to have less than we think is damaging to the brand, but I don't think it's a contradiction with the idea that he has money and isn't dependent on donors like other politicians are.

Undoubtedly? Based on what? His word? I don't know either way, but his tax returns will clue us in wouldn't they? Well unless he won't release them.

Of course, no book about Trump can avoid the quasi-impenetrable question of his wealth. In 2004, O’Brien had co-authored a piece for the Times detailing Trump’s financial woes — he had recently filed for the third of what would be four Chapter 11 bankruptcies — and quoted anonymous sources who reported that Trump’s wealth was not nearly what he claimed; in fact, it was in the hundreds of millions, they said. (Contemporaneous reports in the Washington Post and Time magazine suggested the same.) Trump, meanwhile, notoriously unreliable in his own estimates, offered figures ranging from $1.7 billion to $9.5 billion. In TrumpNation, O’Brien cited those numbers, alongside “three people with direct knowledge of Donald’s finances” who estimated his wealth was “somewhere between $150 million and $250 million.” Trump denied it, in his usual colorful fashion: “You can go ahead and speak to guys who have four-hundred-pound wives at home who are jealous of me, but the guys who really know me know I’m a great builder.”

Your sudden concern for Michal might be touching if your motive wasn't so transparent. Again, tend to the beam in your own eye, hypocrite.
You can be a hateful person but when you spread it to your offspring, that bothers me. Nothing to do with Michal.

Keep in mind that much of his wealth can't easily be measured or verified by outside parties (private companies means private books with no outside access), but according to the May 1 Forbes Magazine Trump is worth only $3.72 billion. I say "only" because he claims to be worth much more than that... but $3.72 billion is still incredibly wealthy and plenty wealthy enough to not need to pander to too many others for money. I've seen similar estimates by other credible sources (WSJ for example), so I think it's a safe assumption that he's very wealthy. Exactly how wealthy doesn't really matter, but my guess is that he fears the tax documents would put a dent in his giant ego and proclaimed wealth so he won't release them.

I have no idea, has he made a bunch of speeches for large amounts of money paid by those he's railing against and supposedly will be regulating for the American people?

Not apples to apples. The point is, if you're going to complain that he hasn't released something, the same can be said for her.

I want to see what is in Hillary's speeches as well. I'm with everyone there. However, denying to hand over tax returns because of her not releasing speech transcripts when she has released her tax returns is dumb.

Actually exactly what I thought. An arbitrary distinction based on your subjective opinion. That's fine to have that opinion, but it has no basis in logic, it's just based on your feelings.

So duck hunting - outlawed. Quail hunting? Outlawed. Etc

No rational logical basis, just your opinion. Pretty much what all the lefties complain the righty religious always want to do, push their views on morals on others. Funny how that goes full circle.

What is funny is I gave you an exact rational answer. For consumption or population control. Completely rational. You gave no reason other than emotion (because sport hunting is fun?) to justify killing animals. Please don't use the word "rational" if you don't even know what it means.

I have no hate for Michal; I don't even know him. I know his posting history -- consistently stupid, bumper-sticker depth talking points -- as does my son and virtually everyone else who's spent any time in P&N. Michal is a source of useless disruption who is horribly misinformed, ignores all facts and evidence, and has no interest in engaging in productive discussion. This is why so many here mock him. You are mocked for much the same reason.

I'll leave the hating to you self-purported Christians with your institutionalized bigotry and your intolerance of anyone who doesn't embrace your clique's indoctrination. Christ preached love and acceptance. You spread hatred and exclusion. Yet again, tend to the beam in your own eye, hypocrite.

The mockers are always to blame.

The "your honor, she was wearing a short dress, she was asking for it" just doesn't cut it.

I don't hate, doesn't matter what you say about it. I have concern for people whether you think my concerns have merit again, doesn't matter.

Christ taught love but he didn't teach acceptance of sin. He met with the sinners but He always told them to quit sinning.

You laughing at a poster, with your son, because you both think he's stupid is hateful.

Haven't really thought about it but Donald releasing his tax returns and Hillary releasing the speech transcripts she was paid a good deal for are very similar situations and neither seems unreasonable. As voting Americans we'd like to see both in order to vet the leader of our country the best we can for undue influence before handing them the keys to the kingdom.

Good for Hillary for releasing hers, but the speech transcripts are a very relevant thing. It's hypocritical to criticize Trump for keeping secrets but not Hillary.

You're being hypocritical again. In one thread you insist your bigotry isn't your fault, but that it's due to the actions of those you target. Now, suddenly, you flip and insist that accountability lies with the source and not the actions of the target.

You should see a doctor. That beam looks infected.

The "your honor, she was wearing a short dress, she was asking for it" just doesn't cut it.
Remember that the next time you're hating on gays.

Boo boo. "I don't hate, doesn't matter what you say about it."

Where have I laughed at or mocked gay people? Where have I shared a laugh with my offspring at them? Please let me know.

Lulz. Your love for Trump has clearly blinded you to how bad that ad is. If you think it is comparable to anything you posted, you are in for a shock. I grimaced watching that ad. And, I'm sure that is the tip of the iceberg of things he's said.

Pretty bad quotes but he never got a child rapist off with time served by lying about the child and then laughing about it.

Yeah, that is a tough criticism. By default she has to be an over zealot representative of her client. Not sure I would have taken the case, but also understand that even guilty people (or people accused of being guilty of heinous crimes) need representation (it keeps our system honest).

Why are you mad? That she took the case or that she took the case and tried to get the best outcome for her client?

That being said, how do you equate that quasi complex situation with Donald Trumps un-complex words? And further more how do you take issue with the NYtimes article when we have quotes of his like the ones in that ad?
