4 cops cuffing a 16-year old (or so) without any resistance from the kid, when an undercover cop comes in out of nowhere and punches him 3-4 times.

All caught on video. Anyone want to take bets that the DA won't prosecute?

Just another bad apple.....I think all these bad apples have ruined the entire crop.

I'm sure he will be indicted where nothing will happen. You know because the thug black guy deserved it.

Need to see what happened before the cuffing. Seems strange to me that four cops would be needed to cuff one person, so what happened before the video clip started would probably answer that question.

As to why the plain clothes guy inexcusably got his licks in, it seems to me something happened between him and the arrestee prior to when the video clip started that got him really pissed off to the point where he lost his situational awareness and professional decorum. Just from looking at how the blows were being delivered, it looked more like a stabbing than a punch-out.

Not taking sides on this, just mentioning how leaving out what led to the cuffing leaves a lot to the imagination.

There is zero justification for punching the guy. Zero! The guy could have spit at the cop and thrown actual shit on his face and then proceeded to kick the cop in the balls and it still wouldn't be justified.

I'm guessing you've never been black before....

I totally agree with you on that. That's why I phrased my narrative in that post the way I did: "As to why the plain clothes guy inexcusably got his licks in". ;)

Not sure if you're arguing in defense of or against the arrestee's predicament. Either way, I really don't care. All I was saying is that from viewing the clip, there isn't any way to positively determine if having four cops controlling one individual was justified or not. If I had to take a WAG, I'd say the guy being cuffed was resisting arrest before the clip started. But who's to say one way or the other if I'm right or wrong, as like I said, I took a wild ass guess with absolutely no skin in this incident.

I was just making a dispassionate observation and derived a logical supposition from it. That's it, that's all. :)

I see. I read it as you were trying to say the plain clothes cop might have been justified but we don't know what happened prior to the start of the recording. Saying that but in regards to 4 officers arresting one guy is reasonable.

Looks like he is resisting the cuffing, cop delivers some distracting blows and then he gets cuffed.

Please find something actually worthy of outrage.

Just watch the video. Ever tried to put cuffs on someone that is resisting? You see the bigger cop in the middle just get them out and start applying them, and the cop that struck him come in and hits him with a stabbing motion in the hip/leg. Clearly not an attempt to deliver a beating. Probably trying to charlie horse him. Giving some pain to break the resisting subject's focus on resisting is a basic tactic taught at every police college in North America. It wasn't a beating and it stopped as soon as he was under control.
