I bet that demographic (and by demographic I mean young, not necessarily black) has nearly 100% smartphone penetration, regardless of income level. So keep on whining and crying, and the rest of the grown ups will realize and understand the reasons and rationale for what the police are actually doing. In this particular video...nothing happened. Keep squealing about it as if it were an actual problem tho.

Do you actually know any black people? Because I live in a majority black neighborhood and more people have no phone at all than a smartphone! A few have cheaper android sets. One black woman has an iPhone 4S in my complex. I'd say MAYBE 10%!

You show how racially insulated you are with your ridiculous assumptions! Get out of your bubble.

You think the poor black people are just randomly assaulted by the police (because the police hate black people for some reason), and that the police get away with this behavior, but that's all going to change once the poor black people have more smart phones? Really?

Throw the same "three little punches to the upper thigh" of a police officer and see what happens to you. At the very least, you get charged with battery.

I have better sense than to assault a police officer. But if I didn't and I did punch one I'm sure I would get what is coming and should be charged with battery.

Apparently he was innocent as the charges were dropped before the video came out and the victim even said those weren't the guys that hit him.

I watched the video again, can you point out when the resisting occurred?

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=AnoKUW4nFXc

Can you explain why the officer was suspended if he didn't do anything wrong?

You do not see the struggling at about 8 seconds...

Meets this criteria: Physical acts, such as running away, hiding, or struggling with the officer.

Hitting him three times is assault and a crime....do you deny that?

If I hit you three times, do I get arrested? Cops aren't allowed to break the law in theory, although in reality we have seen they can shoot and choke people to death while captured on video and get off without any issues.

That in part is thanks to people like you that wave off illegal activity with comments like "he resisted arrest" or "he deserved it".

Not when he is being arrested and resisting. They are allowed to take actions to subdue the suspect.

So when three officers have him subdued..you are Ok with another one coming in to deliver a few sucker punches?

Hmmmm.

If he was subdued, no. It is not alright to strike a restrained and subdued subject.

I don't think that both cuffs were on and I don't think that he was subdued however.

I think its pretty obvious the flying tiger punch that the dude in the camo vietnam jacket air delivered to the boy's kidney was inappropriate. I wouldn't call it a "beat down" though.

That gif looks like a bloodthirsty pack of violent animals rage-beating an unconscious human. Look how casual they all are after they get their licks in. No guilt. Not one bothered conscience. I saw 6 cops in that clip and not one of them failed to participate in beating that unconscious man. At this point, I'm not asking them to stop their fellow officers...I'm fully away that would result in the good cop getting fired. I'm only asking that maybe one or two of them doesn't participate. OK just one.

But yeah, isolated incident. 1% give the 99% a bad name. A few bad apples. If you don't like it then don't call them when you need help. Did I miss any? Oh yeah, "there are tons of cops that have done worse shit than this who didn't get fired."

You do realize that's a 6 year old video you're getting your panties in a twist about, right?

You do also realize that 5 of those officers were fired?

I realize all that but let me go re-read my post to see what your issue might be...

OK I'm back. Everything I said looks accurate aside from the sarcastic part. I'm not sure why not liking a group of violent animals rage-beating an unconscious human being equates to panties in a twist in your world. Care to clue me in?

i beleive he is sayijg a video of cops who were punished is a poor choice as reference for typical and allowed uses of force in an arrest.

the fact it is several years old means it loses relevancy in an argument about current events

Not really. It highlights that this is an ongoing problem that has been around for years. Which is why I find it ridiculous when people complain about using a particular example of police brutality because it's not the perfect scenario to hang on the cross.

Except he wasn't resisting...that cop just walked up and started beating on him. The other three cops weren't having problems. Nice try to defend police abuse though.

This. It's systemic and one way or the other it's going to stop as people are getting pissed the hell off.

No, farting wouldn't be resisting arrest. Thanks for your sarcastic comment, which adds nothing to the national discussion of police brutality. You can stay seated on your holier-then-thou pedestal.
