Reminds me of the thing in Philly where they called up the call center in India and started cussing the CSR out, calling her a 'rat-eating bitch'.

Whoa whoa whoa... WHAT?!

Edit: Ahh, just did a little search. It's Power99. That station is complete garbage.

Power99FM: "Philly's #1 Station Hip-hop and R&B!"
Hot97FM: "The Official #1 for Hip Hop and R&B"

Do we see some sort of correlation?? NAAAAAAH!!
Both are run by Clear Channel, and both play the same garbage. At any given 3 song set, there will be Usher or Lil Jon.

I'm a Clear Channel tool and I approve this message.

Actually, Hot97 is Emmis not CCU. ;)

Jones
Let me guess, you fav meal is a double whopper with cheese from McScrotalds?

Well its not like you find a black woman attractive.
Actually, Miss Info is good looking. Ashanti is cute. Tyra Banks is ungodly. Also dated a black chick in college, so come again?

Boy please I HIGHLY doubt a sista would date your corny @ss. And 2nd any dark skinned black woman I know good and full well you won't find attractive. You skank
Wow. Did you drop out of middle school? My g/f's an 8th grade teacher in Philly, you are on the same mental level as some of the academically challenged kids she tells me about. Please post in a kiddie forum, this is thread is a discussion for mature adults. Frankly, I'm surprised the Mods haven't given you a vacation yet for inciting race wars.

Haha, what an ass.
Yeah, it's only a matter of time before he's banned. You can't suppress who you are forever. ;)

Ok, I stand corrected. But they're in the same group as Clear Channel crap, like 105 who hired Star who was the guy who called Indians filthy rat eaters.

Star had nice things to say about Clear Channel, Power-105, Wendy Williams, the late Frankie Crocker and Ed Lover, a past rival who moved to afternoons on Power so Star could take the morning.

"I was welcomed here," Star said, "by people who want to win."

He noted briefly the controversy over a recent phone call in which he blasted the Indian woman at a call-answering center as a "bitch" and a "filthy rat eater."

"I apologize to all Asians," he said, to a background of studio laughter. "India, we love you. I was so moved by all your phone calls. You just don't understand the hate, that's all. I support outsourcing. Let's move on."

Both stations support racist DJ's.

Now the asian girl she's cool, but not the black one.

Yeah I posted that. When I would drive to school in the morning in the Camry, it doesn't have a CD player, so I would listen to the Hot97 morning show. I've listened to it on and off for about a year and a half. Miss Jones, the one responsible for the tsunami song, as any hot97 listener would say, is a complete bitch. Joe Budden, a rapper/dj for hot97 a few months ago made a freestyle where he said he would punch a pregnant woman, and he apologized for it. This is a different issue, on a different scale. Before you say that I am perpetuating a stereotype, I can tell you whatever race Jones is, shes a bitch. Miss Info is on VH1's best week ever, and you'll agree that she is cool:)

Miss Info kinda looks like a Tanned Lucy Liu

Wow, it gets deeper:

Tarsha Nicole Jones aka Miss Jones

90 Amsterdam Ave
New York, NY 10023-7437
Tel.: (212) 581-0622

her number is not unlisted. neither is her address. its public information, i jus took it from one source and put it up here for you all to see.

"Miss Jones" is a staunch racist, with an inferiority complex, and she should hear the community's outrage. She should not be a public figure because she has a proven track record of disgusting behavior. The Tsunami Song is not the first incident of her negative/racist attitude towards Asian people. Prior to her employment with HOT97 she was with 103.9 in Pennsylvania. She was fired from that position for making racial comments on the air. Specifically those comments had to deal with the release of a board game called "Ghettopoly." Angry that a Chinese person created the game, she launched a racist attack against Chinese people on the air. She decided to create her own game that she called "Chinkopoly." During this segment she played through very many sterotypes and "voices" immitating Asian voices. The segment showed how much of a bigot "Miss Jones" truly is.

"I apologize to all who have been offended by my poor decision to go along with playing that insulting (to say the least) Tsunami song. I should have known better and I didn't. So I'm sorry and hopefully we can move forward from this, or I can move forward from this being a better hostess, because I am better than that, and I know better than that -- and you deserve better radio than that."

She obviously hasnt learned her lesson, this is the second time she has chosen to show her hatred of Asians. She is entitled to her hatred, but expressing it through a public medium is improper. If they put her back on the air, she will do it again.

Racists and people filled with hate deserve no compassion.

Regarding Todd Lynn, who wants to "shoot all asians." Ill post your address and phone number later.

I know I'm probably gonna get flamed for this but I honestly think that people are overreacting to this. Yes, the tsunami disaster was terrible and people should be more sensitive to their predicament. I read the NY article on CNN and found this article on ESPN.com about some soccer commentator getting suspended for controversial remarks about the tsunami disaster. Everything thing these days have to be "politically correct", you speak your mind at the risk of losing your job. If these people are ignorant enough to make these comments, why can't we as a group just choose to ignore them?? I just think most of us are overreacting to not just the tsunami incidents but racial and gay comments as well. Jay Leno and David Lettermen make fun of people all the time, do they lose their jobs?? If I was the target of some of Leno's jokes, I'd be just as mad as if I were a tsunami victim getting made fun of. Yet Leno and Lettermen are getting paid millions to do it. Can someone please explain the difference to me? If we as an audience not only condone but enjoy watching Leno and Lettermen, isn't hypocritical of us to turn around and condemn these radio hosts and sports broadcasters for insensitive remarks?

I don't think this is or ever was an issue of being "politically correct". To me, the disgust isn't what they said, but what they chose to attack. We're talking about a disaster here, of gigantic proportions. How would WE react if after 9/11 a country made fun of that? It's human decency, and we are NOT that shallow. No one should ever be. If we support it, then I truly do weep for the future.

I don't think a couple of stupid radio broadcaster define the values and virtues of all who reside in the United States.

If there were no outrage for this incident, what sort of precedent would that set?
Also, I think you underestimate the stupidity and sheep mentality of many.
