Does LA have any redeeming qualities?
Hot women.

Scantily clad hot women😀 Hell, they were running around in summer wear 3 weeks ago. BEAT THAT!!
Faster and longer our warm-hot weather is, the more eye candy we have. 😀

In NYC, you get women wrapped in heavy coats and scarves for much of the time. 😛

The weather sucks in NYC.

during which season(s)?

summer and autumn can be beautiful here. so can spring and winter to a lesser extent.

man summer in manhattan is so terrible.. it so hot and sticky!

so is teh summer in LA its actually HOTTER :disgust:

Yeah but it's not nearly as humid in LA as it is in NYC. That makes a huge difference.

LA is too sprawly & spread out for my tastes. You can't get anywhere without a car. Sometimes when your stuck in traffic & look out the window, it sometimes looks like your in the middle-of-nowhere. In New York you get to look at that beautiful skyline.

I haven't been to NYC.. but I agree on the sprawly point.

Hard call here. NYC had Wrestlemania XX this past year. Wrestlemania 21 is in LA next year... 😉

Oh yes. Because we all know that the city holding wrestlemania 20 is tops if for no other reason then that😛

I've been to florida, new york, nevada, texas, chicago, arizona, hawaii, jamaica, cayman islands, mexico...and i must say there's still no place like LA and the greater LA area.

everytime i come back to LA from a trip...i always felt LA and so. cal is quite possibly the best place in the nation, if not the world, to live in. The weather's perfect, it's diverse, it's a lot more laid back, culturally tolerant people....the roads in california are in much better condition then anywhere in the US. And if you live in the middle of so cal, you're about 1-2 hours drive away from anything.....beaches, ski resorts, desert oasis, hot springs, relaxing getaways, the city life, suburbia, cultural towns (ktown, jtown, ctown, etc)

therfore:

LA is just a flat wasteland of trendy f*cks and phony people. NYC keeps it real baby.

lol @ all of you. who really gives a fvck? "oooooh, i <3 la! nyc sucks!" "no way, nyc rules! la blows!" why can't someone like both of them? i grew up in la but spent considerable time in nyc, they're both fantastic places. neither is so terrible that i would post a thread saying how much i hate one over the other. jesus.
