We have enough mentally ill people in New York City without a good safety net because 'Murica,so please, just don't move here.
Please read and think about what I say. It's constant knee jerk with you. When I said, "Me well it's la la la la la la" referring to that song, the meaning was that I have no intention of moving there myself. The last time I hitchhiked there from San Francisco I almost gave one of your fascist policemen a stroke. I left the YMCA after getting a room before flying to Iceland and then Europe and some cop stepped in my path asking why I came out that door. He turned as red as a beet when I told him in these exact words, "Get the fuck out of my way." In California I hardly ever see a policeman much less have one block my path and asking me to explain my existence. Why did I walk out the door of the YMCA. Why did the chicken cross the road. You are probably right about lots of mentally ill people there.

What had happened of course was that the shock that his authority over my freedom to conduct my own business unimpeded had failed and resulted instead in my turning the tables on him by commanding him to get out of my way had instantly stripped him of his expected role as the authority and the self assurance that typically goes with it. Suddenly he was the one in need of explaining himself which he then did. Reminds me of another time when, deeply engrossed in a conversation with a friend, we walked past a long line of people waiting to buy tickets and right in to the theater. The absence of any indications we didn't belong there made us invisible.

Went out on the LES and tried a spot I've been wanting to go to for a while. Excuse my French. Super cute and cozy French bistro, tried steak tartare for the first time. The city was buzzing as the weather Saturday night was pretty moderate. This was in the subway. We are all terrified here. Please, don't come from the deep south or midwest. Unless you are a political refugee, then it's ok.

Went for an afternoon ride in the city yesterday, to try a bowl of ramen at a place I've never been, And to read my book in the park.

In the hell hole that is New York City I was quietly reading my book and people watching and these two women with this toddler asked this young girl to take a picture and they were talking and laughing. So I took picture of them taking a picture.

It took a while because they all had to take off their body armor first but I think it came off kind of cute..

But but but Central Park is safer than the subways.. you have your "safe space" and people enjoying the sun, wind and walking with their dogs.

It's when they pack us like sardines into subway cars at rush hour.. that the gremlins really come out and people start going crazy!

Guess what different day.. different shit happens.

Was just crossing an intersection after it turned green.. fucking moped driver goes through red light and almost rams into me. Then proceeds to go past 4 more red lights.

Oh and of course no license plate on the moped! First time seeing someone that reckless.. anything like that happen to you?

Isn't it ironic? Dontcha think? That's just great though.

Ok enough funnies.. but why the fuck would someone go through 5 red lights through moving traffic?

A more simple and useful explanation please?

Your post reads like you were actually injured. Do you have a concussion?
