NY to legalize marijuana

It took several years after the CT medical mj law was signed before the product was available in a dispensary. Another two years before I didn't feel bad about the prices.

CT is surrounded by recreational legal states now...

Yeah honestly the starting price is really what's killer here, if prices were more in line with CO then the tax wouldn't be that bad. I really wish growing for rec use wasn't removed from the legalization bill (was originally supposed to be 4 plants per person).
Same thing in WA, you can only grow your own with a medical purpose, I think I saw there's a bill making the rounds to fix it this year, but who knows.

My old dealer was grandfathered under that deal. If they only knew. He's no longer on this earth, so it really doesn't matter anymore.

So is it still the case that we're waiting 18mo from the first dispensaries before one can grow your own?

Also, where the hell do you get Cannabis Sativa seeds from?

leafly.com may have seed resources.
Looks like they have some, I'll keep an eye on that as the situation evolves with dispensaries.

I live in a super hippy town (we're in the middle of abolishing our police force if that tells you anything) so I'm sure there'll be ample opportunity here.

The Neatherlands on the sly. I don't really know how it's done within the industry.

I got txt from friend in Maine today and asked since NY came up, thought of this thread. He said all over, he's ordered seeds from other states, Canada, Spain and the UK. No big deal and hasn't been for a long time apparently. Not only that, he's always had them shipped to his home address. That part still blows my mind.

And apparently I have a tin of magical crunchy peanut butter/chocolate balls waiting for me over there.

Someone needs a bunch of knives sharpened, callin it.

The folk wisdom I was exposed to was that seeds were legal to mail because they aren't marijuana, and don't contain any THC. Never actually looked into it, because I never had any intent of growing when it was illegal.
Which reminds me of another benefit of buying legal weed, no more seeds in the bud 😀

I've had people say they never had a problem. Wonder if you can still get any spore prints. It use to be easy, but I thought that had been clamped down.
Just never respond to a customs letter.

Not quite. It's illegal to import seeds of any kind w/o a license to do so. If postal inspectors find the seeds, they'll be confiscated & the intended recipient receives a notice explaining why. Various seedbanks offer stealth shipping & guaranteed delivery, for a price. For instance-

While possession of cannabis is illegal in the UK, Canada(?) & much of Europe, possession & sale of seeds is not, oddly enough.

Newsmax anchor Greg Kelly:

SMOKING WEED (aka GRASS) is NOT a good idea. I’ve tried it (back in the day) and it was WORSE than anything that happened to HUNTER BIDEN. I “toked up” with some buddies in Kentucky and woke up 4 days later in Nairobi, Kenya. With no idea what happened. DON’T DO DRUGS.

Because of my compelling “just say no” experience, my team has been receiving “feelers” from the BIDEN Administration about becoming its DRUZ CZAR (Director of National Drug Control Policy)-NO THANKS! But as I stated during the Transition, I would “consider” DEPUTY SEC OF DEFENSE

I'm assuming he's just trying to be funny. If not, It seems he doesn’t want to smoke weed because it takes too much time away from him smoking crack. "Nairobi” is extremely fun to say when you’re really high. I wonder if Kelly knows that ?

What the hell exactly is a “DRUZ CZAR”? Is that some sort of Lebanese king?

I feel like anyone working for Newsmax has to be either a dedicated performance artist or a very fucked up individual.

...my shirt was on backwards and it hurt to sit down! Palm oil everywhere. Def last time I smoke weed. Bad smell, but Kenya was fun. Will visit again.

Greg, you need to stop hanging out with Mike Lindell. That booger sugar or crack is an even worse idea. Look what it makes you post online.

Stay off of druz kids.
