Strange how a certain population still demand that we disarm and trust the police to protect us.

Please point out where the armed citizen took action and broke up this ring or any police corruption ring for that matter.

Lots of arguments about the 2nd amendment but yours is just freaking stupid.

Aside from the additional jobs to cops, lawyers, judges, prison guards, and black market beneficiaries, are there any actually legitimate reasons for prostitution to be illegal?

No, it should be legalized, brought out into the open, and regulated for the protection of both the sex workers and their customers.

It seems to me a whole new set of regulations need to be in place before legalization takes place, especially in the area of health concerns, tax accountability and the influence of organized crime on the industry.

Other than that, the usual flailing and threats from the evangelicals/fundamentalists need to be dealt with on the political level of things.

Me, I could care less for I don't believe it's within my beliefs that I should force my feelings/beliefs on others like some of those holier than thou's that are always looking to do just that through the legislature and courts.

It's not difficult. Treat it like vehicle registration. Every year, 6 months, or heck - even monthly the hooker has to come in to a designated facility and have an inspection. If everything checks out under the hood they will be given the windshield sticker - I mean certification to continue operation.

IIRC Australia has a good way of regulating it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prostitution_in_Australia

Also I'm libertarian for a reason. For both weed and prostitution I honestly just don't find it within my morals (or want to) do either of those. But my morals aren't your morals - and doing these won't affect me - so why should I care?

Been to Vietnam, Korea and Thailand where checking the ladie's health cards were all you need to "git 'er done". But that was then don't know how things are now so I hear you on that 😉

And you just told him to "hold your beer" with your gem.
