I believe I already responded to you concerning your "Community Combat" thread and thanked you for inviting me, but I don't own CoD, CoD2 or UT. So I didn't see any reason to post in the thread.

As far as "making a career out of it", this is not the sole thread I post in. But I (and others) have put up with Rollo's anti-social behavior long enough and I don't intend to simply let the matter slide this time.

After Rollo returned from his two week ban for excessive flaming I left him alone. Even moreso, I extended an olive branch by defending his opinions against others when I felt his post had merit. I had my misgivings, but was willing to let past hostilies remain in the past. Unfortunately, my intuition proved true and he reverted to his usual aggressive posting style once he was certain it was safe to resume doing so.

If I didn't feel as strongly as I do, I wouldn't be posting here. But I am convinced that banning Rollo would be giant first step in restoring this forum. His secret receiving of free video cards from a company paid to increase nVidia sales only further proves that Rollo should no longer be able to post within these forums.

But by all means, keep making fun of me if you feel that's proper. I have nothing against you except your inexplicable steadfast loyalty towards Rollo.

I have no need to keep a Rollo portfolio. A simple search of the forums easily brings up multiple examples of Rollo's inappropriate behavior.

If the mods feel I've violated TOS, I'm sure they will ban me.

If not, I suggest we all try to peacefully co-exist.

Being angry at each other only benefits whoever makes your favorite antacid.

This is a pretty good example of a phenomenon I notice more and more in this country:
As we become more prosperous and worrying about the necessities of life is unnecessary, we associate ourselves with causes that are laughable at best.

You have people protesting fishing, because it may hurt the fish.

You have people destroying fur coats because dead rodents once owned the fur.

You have people protesting eating meat because it hurts the animals to be killed.

And now some protest video card user groups that may be designed in the hopes users of engineering samples may post about the use. If you told a guy in a country where you have to worry about your next meal your big concern these days is whether or not a video card manufacturer was unethical in giving cards to enthusiasts and that you had actually spent time protesting this, they would laugh for a month.

If you told somebody who looked at video cards like any other consumer good, say hammers or clock radios, that you are concerned someone's posts may have been influenced by a free video card, they would probably laugh for a while.

The problem with this thread, and all this uproar, is at the bottom of it are very small issues that mean very little in the world and are subject to interpretation.

A reviewer is upfront about their means of obtaining hardware, you were not. Perhaps another 2000 will help you grasp that also.

It's a miracle that you wonder why people don't like you, Rollo. It's not a "minority", as some would have you believe, either. If Mr. Burns took what Smithers said as the gospel, he'd probably have quite the ego.
