AMD prior to buying ATI was up around $40, now it's down to around $5 a share.

Haven't heard anything bad about their notebook gpu's. But the new AMD puma motherboards with integrated HD3200 graphics sound like a winner to me.
It's damned hard to find notebooks with ATI graphics I've found. Most HP ones come with NV, Dell, Lenovo, and Apple are similar. Which companies produce laptops with ATI GPUs?
Strangely, the lower cost notebooks, like the HP Pavilion dv5z (starting at $700).
Viditor I know your an investor . I hope you followed the advice I gave a while back and Shorted NV. I did and its great . This thing is tanking faster than AMD did and again I hit it right on the money . Stock was way over priced.

And ya, I hadn't heard of any notebook GPU problems until this press release either.
And I agree, the AMD integrated graphics solutions for notebooks and desktops right now are looking very good in my opinion.
A few things make more sense now.
HP has what i'd call a soft recall out on various models of their notebooks.
I don't remember all the models, but it involves the dv3000, 6000, & 9000 series, plus a few more.
There are various symptoms that quality for repair within 2 yrs. (even after the 1 yr. is expired)
But the common theme is that every one has an AMD CPU, uses an nVidia chipset, & the repair involves replacing the motherboard.
The most common issue is that the notebook will cease to POST.
I'd like to say it's uncommon, but it's not...happens a lot actually.
I suspect HP screamed pretty loudly to nVidia lately, as this has been going on for quite a while now actually.
