Once again Bar81, referring back to my original post. You are contradicting yourself. How can you "call a compoany out" when that company has had the same problem for months or years?

Additionally please read this carefully. Why are you whining and complaining to us? All of us (pretty much) are in the same boat that you are in. Now im not saying that i think Nvidia is doing everything right because some of these issues do need some more attention, however you are acting like they have just insulted you personally and/or pohysically attacked you. Your last post was exactly like a poorly written manifesto. Once again, stop whining, complaining, and yelling at us, we have no control over the situation.

And since these "issues" have been out for "months and years" there is no need to "call them out" as the public would already be fully aware of them.

If you're going to make a statement, back it up.

As far as what games are supported and what aren't, you go ahead and create the profiles for every single game out there (which is what needs to be done), and then come back in a year or two when you're done, and then you can bitch.

It doesnt matter who you know, or that you think you know more than I do.

Ok Bar81, if you are SOOOOO interested and mad about this why are you posting and whining to us. Do we look like Nvidia employee's? Do we have any power that you dont have? Last i checked this problem was already known to happen, so why do you need to "call nvidia out"?

Stop whining to us, we cant do anything!

If you have such a problem with every chipset that we suggest as an alternative maybe you should consider simply not building a PC anymore.

Okay, it's readily apparent that I'm going to have to hold everyone's hand:

The points in the thread:

(1) nvidia's SLI WS and nForce chipsets do not work as they should

(2) These problems have previously been noted

(3) The problems with the items in question STILL exist MONTHS after they should have been resolved (and in the case of the nForce IDE drivers it's been YEARS)

(4) The earliest "possible" solution for the SLI WS problem is ONE MONTH from now, STILL no Purevideo, and no eta on any fixes for nForce chipsets whether it be IDE drivers, nForce4 SATA w/NCQ issue, or the ridiculous high usage of the Ge.

Why post?

(1) It's been MONTHS and YEARS in some cases and STILL no fixes for well known issues

(2) Highlight for everyone that issues STILL REMAIN

(3) REFUSE to accept subpar products

(4) Emailing does nothing. As we have all seen, public pressure via boards is the only way to get these big companies to act

(5) To get people to understand that it is the blind acceptance and illogical brand loyalty that is perpetuating this scenario

This is as simple as it gets folks.

1) Wrong. There are plenty of people out there who do not have issues (me included)
2) Correct. There IS an issue there, but it is not a 100% case scenario
3) You have no idea what's going on at nVidia, nor can you make ANY sort of judgment call about a timeframe on a resolution to a subject. How about YOU go work for them, genius, since it's such a simple thing.
4) No Purevideo? Are you dense? And NCQ issue is hardly rampant (but since you seem to exaggerate issues, it doesn't suprise me that you bring it up)

1) Months and years? Again, there's that exaggeration
2) Do you enjoy repeating yourself?
3) I'll be happy to. But not based on your thread and your haphazard information, since that comment doesn't apply here
4) Again, you have no idea. You're a gnat on a donkey's ass
5) This made me laugh too hard to make any sort of intelligible comment.

Take your penny ramblings elsewhere, because, simply put, you have no clue what you're talking about, and sound suspiciously like a child who needs something to argue about.

1. You are wrong. Why would NV admit to there being a problem, if there wasnt one?
2. We agree that there is an issue.
3. He was right, that it has been many months, and this issue still is not fixed. And from a consumer standpoint, they should have been fixed by now. It is a huge issue.
4. Yes, no Purevideo. And the NCQ problem still exists today, years after it first started.

1. Yes is has been months (for the WS SLI issue) and years (for the IDE issue), so what he posted was correct. You are wrong, again.
2. They need to be repeated to NV till they get fixed.
3. We all agree to refure subpar products.
4. You cannot speak for NV, dont pretend to. Emailing them should get a response.
5. What people say when they cant refute anything.

Looking back, do you even HAVE a widescreen monitor? Or have you even taken the time to do some research, rather than using a select forum or two of notorius idiots, or, heaven forbid, spent time YOURSELF and testing it out?

So people are trolls who have problems? Nice logic you have there.

And now you try to ban someone, when you are calling names, and acting as a child? Wow, good job. You are a huge hypocrite.

Like him, I am now ignoring you, and your worthless drivel. Thanks for wasting 30 seconds of my life.

And, you're wrong. ;)

And, I don't think I know more than you, I know I do, as it's my job.

You're backing him up because you apparently enjoy arguing, and for no other reason (aside from showing a strong point of ignorance in the matter). So, as I said to him, take your penny ramblings elsewhere.

By the way, continue on your current path, and I'll be happy to show the mods your flamebait posts as well.

I will no longer respond to either you or Bar, so please don't waste my, or the other forum members', time, with your crap. You obviously are simply looking for something to argue about.

I backed him up, not because I care for him (we're had "fights" in the past), but because your rebuttal points where mostly wrong.

Oh no, dont ignore me!! You are a nobody, who cares.

And retards, once again this isn't ATI versus nvidia which apparently none of you intellectual geniuses is able to understand. ATI has nothing to do with the issues at hand here and I never brought them up so I have no idea why YOU are all trolling the whole ATI v nvidia thing.

That is what trolling is, you sped.

I tell ya what Bar81, since you dislike NVidia and it's products and find so many faults with them, I'll BUY your Asus K8N-E Deluxe, for $20. You deserve a LITTLE compensation for your troubles. It has to be in WORKING condition with all CD's and cables, manuals, & accessories.

OOH, look, somebody posts an anti-nvidia thread and immediately it dissolves into a BBQ. There must have been a ton of those a few years back, if you know what I mean, too bad I wasn't here to see what the defense had to say about it.

I personally don't care about the brand, and I'm using an NV chipset mobo because it's the best choice available (or was when I bought it). With gfx cards, I would have definitely bought an NV card back in the DX7 and DX8 era (and I did), but not since the abysmal FX cards (anyone wanna defend those too?), and since then NV hasn't done anything to win back my confidence in them, with the whole purevideo debacle. SLI is perfect for those of you who want bragging rights and the highest benchmark scores, but then if something doesn't work, well... nvidia is bound to fix it; I mean they never let anyone down before, right? Riiiight, I'm sure they have a sweatshop full of driver developers working on it right now as I speak.

And then everyone starts attacking Ati. It's not like they don't have their problems either, but at least recently, from my experience, their products actually worked like they were described on paper. And since Ati is the only alternative to NV, I'm stuck with their gfx cards. When NV makes a product that actually gives me 2x the performace for 2x the money without exceptions, then I'll give it another thought. Until then, a single x800xt or 6800gt is good enough for all the latest games, and SLI is on the opposite side of the marketing spectrum from the 256mb gf5200: it's still marketing BS, just for a different crowd.

*waits for Rollo to defend his favorite company*

First off, I couldn't care less if the payroll ignores me, you guys seem to like ignoring things, like the numerous issues with nvidia products as this thread clearly shows. Besides, the fact that the payroll is trying so hard to attack me personally and get me banned for telling the truth just confirms that what I'm saying is correct.

Good god Bar learn to read. We are not ignoring the issue. However we are not whining it to other people, especially the people who cannot do anything to resolve the situation.

Additionally this has turned into a "BBQ" because you and a few others decided it was going to be "call out" every single fault Nvidia ever committed, and then essentially tell us that we are stupid for buying them, and that we need to rise up against crap products.

Additionally, your constant insults to everyone in this thread who opposes you/defends Nvidia is getting old. No one here is on Nvidias pay roll, no one here has made any fanyboy statement towards Nvidia. So stop making out that we are completely in the wrong.

Once AGAIN, we are in the SAME EXACT SITUATION as you are and yet we manage not to whine and complain about it. If you get nothing else out of this thread, at least gain some maturity.

Kevin, don't bother. These guys want conflict. They draw energy from it. Bar is on Hell's payroll. Now he's become Mr. Sensitive for fear of getting banned if enough people complain about him. Now the worst insult he will use is "payroll". He won't get it man, just stop feeding him.
