Hehe?I agree, but remember the G400? It was late to the show, as far as the GeForce. But it still ended up in a lot of consumers PC?s, and even till today almost one year later people are still purchasing the G400. I think no matter what, if Matrox does a great job on 3D performance (looking to improve at 3D gaming), exceeding the G400 buy 20%-40%, people will buy it. You?ll have great 2D and 3D quality in the G800. Even if Matrox is late with the G800 (though I hope not), it won't hinder anything for them, they still have lots of OEM sales, gamers are just a little percentage of sales.

Go to Matrox website, and on their home page you will see that Matrox has about four divisions, personalizing in Graphics cards, Professional Video Editing Tools, Scientific and Industrial Imagining, Networking solutions etc?more then I can say for nVIDIA! Maybe that?s why Pixar animation put the smack down on nVIDIA a few months ago. Though we all know nVIDIA ?is? the 3D gaming card of choice, though some may want another card. I know of two local News Stations, which are using Matrox Video edition software and hardware in their studios. Don?t get ahead of yourself cuz, each company has its perks!

Argh, you people need some serious help with the stock market.. the PRICE of the stock means very little by itself.. you need to understand how many outstanding shares there are, revenues, P/E ratios, etc..

IE, a company whose stock is 10 dollars a share, and has 10 total shares of outstanding stock, is worth the same as a company whose stock is at $1 a share, but has 100 outstanding shares of stock.. So the price by itself means nothing.

You all need to look at some facts here, matrox, ati, 3dfx, and all the other graphics card mfg's are getting stomped by nvidia as we speak. I am not an nvidiot, but look at the last year for nvidia, compare that with all of the other graphics card mfg you can come up with. They are taking over the industry, i am not talking about stock prices either, their industry rank according to prudential securities (and others)is #1, their earnings growth as of 1/2000 was over 100%,(while other mfg have lost money), now you have to believe that this AMAZING growth in earnings has to be effecting the other mfg (taking away their revenues).
I am not supporting anyones flame bait here, but if you don't understand that this is not a fluke and nvidia is dominating the graphics card industry and will be for quite some time then you need to do some more research.

PS, name a card by Matrox, 3dfx, or ati, that can beat the geforce mx, not in price but performance?
