Oh crap. $379 for 1070 for Titan X perf. AMD better unleash P10 at some substantial perf or else they are already blown out of the water.
 
The 1070 is about where I figured it would be performance wise, eg, slightly above stock 980 Ti, but $380 is about $40 cheaper than I was expecting. Not too bad.

Are those TFLOP numbers SP or half precision? Doubling the compute power over the 980 is a pretty good result given the smaller die.
 
I'm not sure how I feel about "founders edition" cards. WTF does that even mean?

Huge gap. There's no chance for 1070 to catch the 1080, gimped GDDR5 bandwidth starved. NV has done their homework and they want people to buy the 1080 if they want that performance.
