Looks like we have to sit through the first two "news" before he gets to the "new king"...

Yeah, but at least JHH has better presentation skills so it isn't so painful to watch.

It's kind of weird because some of his mannerisms and the way he's presenting reminds me of an Apple keynote with Jobs. Maybe it's just because I'm really tired right now, but it's kind of funny.

The 3d screenshots will be nice for the press, not sure home users will care much. I think streaming will continue to be the method people choose to share their experience.

"For those who love in-game photography... "

I didn't realize that was a thing. Do people have entire albums of screenshots of their in-game activity and re-live it like they are on holidays?

GF does graphics art and she enjoys doing custom avatars, etc for various projects/websites. She is excited about Ansel.

Ok suuure Jen, The Division looks so groundbreaking.. Sigh. Kind of kills me when I hear the leader of the dominant GPU company gush over a sub par looking game.

Edit😱mg what is with the nvidia employees in the crowd? I cringe kinda easily but wow, their comments.

Love how nVIDIA has focused on efficiency on their voltage regulation modules. Would effectively reduce overall power consumption and heat being dissipated from the VRM section. Looks like they've cleaned up the output voltage ripple by quite abit!

Excellent stuff.

'Most power efficient architecture we've ever built'
'16nm FinFET, GDDR5X 10 GHz'
'All games were running north of 60 FPS on a Geforce GTX 1080'
'Faster than Geforce GTX 980 SLI'
'(Considerably) faster than a Geforce Titan X'
'Irresponsible amounts of performance'

Excellent stuff.

You can improve perf/w a lot with a good PCB, VRM/Mosfets etc. Custom Fury boards from Asus for example, vastly more efficient compared to others.

It's good that NV is focused on a great reference card. Premium design and price needs premium components.

looks like a 1080 is at 4.4 relative to the 3.6 of the Titan X (based on the slide just shown)

So that would be 22% faster. 25% faster than 980 Ti.

Just as I said predicted today (or maybe yesterday), power use is a little bit higher than GM204. More like GK104 at ~ 180 watts. Still the same power envelope, so no big deal.
