What do you base this on?

ATI
revenues of approximately US $2.22 billion, ATI has more than 3,400 employees in the Americas, Europe and Asia.

nVidia

NVIDIA has over 2,000 employees worldwide with revenue approaching $2 billion annually.

Hardly call that far larger. In fact sales wise nVidia is just behind and should pass them soon enough. Looks like ATI has a lot of bloated useless staff though.

Time for some mass firings!

NVIDIA's 2005 revenues were $2.38 billion, and they hold 51% of the marketshare.

Still think ATi is a FAR larger company?

ATI has products in more areas than nvidia (like digital TV chips, etc.). ATI has more employees than nvidia. I think we need to define larger.

Pepsi maybe a underdog to Coke in the soda pop business, but Pepsi-cola Company makes a lot more than coke through their snack food/sports drink business.

Do you ever do this? Associate companies becuase of their financial status, etc? Like they're on a team or something.

Favorites: nVidia, Intel, Coke, Ford (not sure about that one), Nike, and McDonalds

Underdog: ATI, AMD, Pepsi, Chevrolet, Reebok, and Burger King

I dunno. Maybe my mind just visualizes things strangely and none of you will know what I'm talking about.

I need more to do at work.

EDIT: Added Intel and AMD.

when did ati become the underdog and nvidia the favorite? i would certainly put nvidia and amd together with pepsi. not sure the cars and fast food belong tho.

I suppose it's just perception, I (and I think many others) are under the impression that nVidia is the larger, stronger corporation. I'm not sure why this is.

woaahhh there, nvidia with pepsi; do you realise the world would like implode on itself, it's already bad enough with AMD and pepsi.

Wow.. to bad that your underdogs are either top runners or close behind.

Meh, despite their awesome commercials, BK is more than a few steps behind the global dominance of McDonalds.

It wasnt all that long ago that nvidia was an underdog........

oh, I like "nVidia, Intel, Coke, Ford"
