Well, I work on an AFB as a civilian intern, so I don't get benefits (to my knowledge).

you could go to work, buy cheap snacks, drink some free water, get your car detailed while at work, then go to the dentist and get your haircut all in the same building 😕 COOL! 😀

i actually want to work for nvidia at some point  i have to finish college first.

on the surface that may sound great, but you need to find out what the pay is like and how the hours are. it could be like EA for all you know.

i want to work at powercolor so i can have a fan in my back

*Subsidized cafe? at our Santa Clara facility and meal allowances at other locations. ok

*Subsidized snacks and sodas. Coffee and bottled water are FREE. good benefit, although most offices have free coffee and water coolers

*A fitness/exercise subsidy of up to $150 annually which can be used to help pay for exercise classes or health club memberships.very typical

*Discounts and special promotions with AT&T Wireless, Dell, Toshiba, etc. This is a joke. Our Dell discounts are higher than the regular Dell Home prices

*$25 quarterly credit redeemable for NVIDIA logo merchandise available on-line from the Gear Store. This is the only way that I would ever buy merchandise from my employer. I hate when they offer polo shirts but make us pay for them.

*Laundry and dry cleaning pick-up and delivery services. Nice (especially dry cleaning) but typical of companies that require uniforms.

*Credit Union membership with MeriWest and, Membership Banking through Wells Fargo. Credit unions are free to join anyway, so what's the point?

*Pre-tax transit assistance benefits; and Concierge-style services, available through Sanity Savers. Nice

*On-site Dental which offers full service general dentistry. OK, but most companies offer dental insurance anyway

*MyDetailer.com which provides Santa Clara employees with quality on-site car care services. Ummm, WTF?

*Even On-site Haircuts! Another WTF!

What about tangibles? 401k match, free health insurance for the employee and families, etc. Vacations?

My employer has a local Honda dealership drive a mobile service van to the parking lot and will change oil or do other minor repairs on site to Hondas or Acuras.
We have free water and coffee in our office.

isn't this typical for Silicon Valley companies?

on-site haircuts and dry cleaning doesn't mean it's free.

My company (which I will not disclose) offers:

free parking spot in downtown garage or monthly bus pass (up to $115 monthly value)
free soda
Supplier Discounts at Dell, Verizon (19% off monthly fee), Ford, Chevy, Dodge, Wells Fargo, Citibank etc.
On-site barber, dry-cleaning (not free, just like NVidia)
scholarships for employee's children
$5000 reimbursement on adoption
School reimbursment
30% discount off lowest advertised price at Pep Boys, Monro Muffler and Firestone
YouDecide.com discounts on auto insurance, mortgage insurance, etc.
20% of at Sherwin Williams (I've used this)
On site free gym or off-site discounted gym membership at 4 different downtown locations
