Try playing around with the AGP aperture size in the BIOS - sometimes it can be the cause of stutter. Try setting it to 128MB or 256MB and see if that helps any.
 
I can't help but chuckle when people say how the 9700 Pro is only marginally better than the Ti4200 when the proof is slapping them in the face every time they read a video card comparison.
 
It is not about how many fps you get..

It is all about the min. and average fps..

Also for games like CS, you only need GF1..
CS doesn't use pixel shader, which makes R9500pro faster than GF3..
For any old games, any video cards are fast enough..

Try Unreal2... GF3 will get you 10 - 20 fps... very slow...
 
ya, but you cannot run cs at 1600x1200 with 6xaa and 16xqaf on a geforce1; however my 9700pro has no issues at all with that. 😉
