No doubt a little of both.
I highly doubt the core will be only 470.

I really dont understand what the big deal is about the price. The X1800XT is selling for $600 or mroe right now. Why should Nvidia's offering be any different.
You're already gonna pay $600 for an X1800XT, why wouldnt you pay an extra $50 for a faster card?
Oh yeah, that's right, you're fanboys.

The MSRP on the XT is $549. It'll come down to MSRP and less once the cards start showing up in reasonable numbers, just as happened with the XL.
So if the new GTX card has an MSRP of $650, then it's $100 more than the XT. If you consider that a good deal then by all means get your credit card ready to go.

Good luck getting an XT at MSRP. You can buy your XT here if you've got the $699.00

Yep if these are the reference clocks then the core is a lot lower than was expected (550 standard) and the memory is 100 mhz short of the 1800 mhz that was speculated. The only thing impressive about this card is the memory frequency. I'm guessing the much costlier KO edition might have 500+ core speed. I'll definitely be passing on these, bring on G80/R600!

Everyone has their priorities Overgloc.
You can get rid of most of the shimmering just by using High Quality and the latest drivers.
It'll cost you some money to get rid of the dustbuster on a XT, and I don't know what you can do about the slower performance.
