Galaxy engineers had crazy drunken monkey sex with pink rabbits and came up with this abomination.

Obviously.

Seeing as how you're usually a red foaming fanatic I'm detecting a little sarcasm in your one word post...

This could replace my 7950GX2 in my workbench rig. No idea why I would upgrade, but that PC is a collection of oddball hardware that works surprisingly well.

Pretty much a waste of resources, a GPU which barely beats a cheaper GTX 285 doesn't make sense at all.

I don't understand. I just bought a 295 a couple weeks ago. They're available lots of places. Just not for $400. Prices are rising.

They're not exactly plentiful when newegg has ZERO available and only 2 listed out of stock. I can't find the BFG or EVGA water cooled variations anywhere. And $400 is where price/performance puts the air models not $470.

Heh, thing brings back memories of the voodoo5. Two slower, less featured chips put on a single board to compete with the competition's more advanced, timely, single chip solution.

At this point though, dual g92 parts might not be a bad stop-gap until fermi launches.

I think this card is a "proof of concept" kind of thing. Except that concept has already been proven (wrong?) many times. I have to say the layout is extremely clean, though.

So you think it will release at over 380$. That's how much a gtx285 cost now.

You can buy 2 gts 250's for under 250$.
I would guess about 225$ for this card.
