check out my sig... I am curious about the legality issues though. I want to spread the knowledge of good bands, but I don't want people to donwload my songs and keep em.

I am hosting this from my cable connection (60KB/s up) so if it's slow that's why Try increasing the buffer size in your favorite mp3 program I would like to see how many people can access it.
The problem is that my mp3s are pretty high quality... if I lowered them I probably could handle more.

If this is totally illegal than let me know before I get into trouble

Opening night is always hectic... I am hoping that as time goes on, only a couple people at a time will go on it...

My cable connection has been very flaky this evening too... some packet loss and my gateway has gone down 3 times tonight. It's been fine for a year until tonight.

ViperXX - That's the whole point , I don't want people to save a copy on their computer. All of these mp3s came from CD's I have purchased. I'm one of those self righteous freaks

If you use winamp, go to the preferences, input, nullsoft mpeg audio decorder, configure, streaming tab, then enable saving check box and click the button to choose the destination.

I've reconsidered... I've got it open again...

My rational? I believe this will provide more good than harm. I will trust that people will not take advantage of this service to loot and pillage. If I can get someone to go out and buy a CD because they
like what they heard from my site, that would be great

Keep in mind I am limited to 60KB/s up, make sure you increase your buffer sizes.

You really believe that, don't you?

The only way you could ever hope for someone here to buy a CD after DLing from you is if you downsampled everything so it doesn't sound nearly as good as the original.
