We have a Pom too (luckily picked him up at the shelter) - had to wait "in line" the following Monday at 430am to make sure we were first at 7am. Poor guy was lost... our gain.
He's definitely got a holier-than-thou attitude, but that comes with the territory and we accept it. He never listens except when it's time to eat or we tell him to do his business.. he runs down to the garage and waits for us to open the door for him... they're one of the smarter breeds I've read. He even recognizes our house at the end of his walk... he'd start up the driveway before I even make the turn. I just love him to death... especially when he prances.. that's the cute walk you were talking about... very playful. I don't know about that bad temper at age 9 or 10 like someone mentioned... that remains to be seen.
Anyway, they're not for everyone, especially owners who want a "practical" dog - whatever that means... they're pets.
Anyway, here's pics of Simba. Most of that was when he was 3. BTW, I've read they shouldn't be any more than 10 lbs. Ours is 11 so he's a bit overweight as the vet confirmed. Some of you need to put yours on a diet asap.
I'd love to get a Westy next... just so we don't get used to the silence...
