is there a way to always have it show in IE? not that i even use it... i've used firebird/mozilla for so long that when i was browsing the forums on an IE machine.. i thought there was a design change

WTF for ? Docking it throws it all the way to the end of the thread. That's not the point of a "quick reply" is it ? If it's un-docked, it scrolls with you to the point where you want to reply. That's a reason I don't like the auto-docked quick reply in Mozilla.
