why does a counter-clockwise purple arrow mean "quick-reply ?

is there a way to always have it show in IE? not that i even use it... i've used firebird/mozilla for so long that when i was browsing the forums on an IE machine.. i thought there was a design change :p

you might be right because I'm using IE and it's there, I ddin't notice when it first appeared.

Man, I've been using nothing but quick reply unless I need to quote (in which case I'm too lazy to just write out the italicized part). I know how to link and use the smileys fine. :)

I don't understand why people think it's useful at all.

Unless you have a very slow connection or something.

WTF for ? Docking it throws it all the way to the end of the thread. That's not the point of a "quick reply" is it ? If it's un-docked, it scrolls with you to the point where you want to reply. That's a reason I don't like the auto-docked quick reply in Mozilla.
