I think I can finally use XP's visual themes. What did YOU do when you upgraded to 1gb of ram?

(oh, I also can play planetside & freelance with less lag!)
 
I didn't do anything when I upgraded to 1GB of RAM because I only have 512MB.

I have yet to see a need for more than that.
 
My main PC can now make breakfast tacos. It cooks them on my George Foreman USB Grill. The extra ram gives that "little extra flava!"

When I had 1GB I tried to setup a HL Natural-Selection server on a RAM drive but the drive never worked properly. So I just gave up on it and removed half of it to place into another computer.
 
i need to move from 512MB to 1GB

i tried to play age of mythology with 12 computer players and large map

my hard drive started thrashing and the game slowed to a crawl once the computer guys got a lot of units
 
I've had 1GB in my dualie for about 2 years so far. I do a lot of heavy video encoding on it, as well as serving and the usual surfing/work/games. The main perk is being able to do so much at once.
 
I opened up three browsers, and on each of them I opened up a page with 311 pictures of girls kissing. Each browser took about 260mb of memory.
 
I had a stick of ram blow on me, so Im down to a paltry 768 🙁 *snif*

Good thing its crucial so its gettin replaced! 😀

I want more thought... I want 2GB!

All my machines have 1GB of ram now... but the question is, should i upgrade my SDRAM to DDR. I don't know what i'll do with the 1gb of SDRAM.
 
...I don't have 1GB of RAM yet. When I do get some, I will probably see how many different virtual machines I can run at one time while still getting good performance in Photoshop. 😀

I remember in HS, a good friend and fellow comp geek of mine made fun of this other guy out of pure jealousy. We just couldn't believe that he'd blow all the $$ required to have 16mb in his shiny new Gateway 486dx66!!!!!!
